Re: 8001 Battle Droid is awesome!

(...) Does your reply, Tony, mean that you have a Destroyer Droid? If so, I think you're the first Lugneteer to to get one. All I have seen so far is second hand reports that say some other website reports that some guy saw some on shelves, etc. (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.technic)

  Schronization Problems

Hello all, I'm going to add to the list of HB that no longer work after not using it for about 1 month. I have included the listing from IC below, but here's some additional info. The board goes into bootstrap fine. Both lights go out and then the (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Brad - TLC needs to minimize packaging

Brad, I've gotten a few "special" sets, 1775 and 2149 in particular, that are densely packed in order to take up as little storage space as possible. It would be nice if TLC would start to package ALL of their sets this way. Almost all of the 1999 (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Newbie's questions

(...) I personally used the clutch gears more to build timing tolerant mechanisms than to protect motors from damages. I mean in those cases when you want your motor to move something up to a point and then "slip", and you don't want to use a sensor (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Future Wild West Possibilities

(...) Hard to say... you are measuring it to a very demanding scale... Pirates and Castle (and Space) are the most popular themes LEGO has produced; it's a hard act to follow. I liked western - some good sets for parting out(1), and decent (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-99, to lugnet.western)

  Re: Set 6600 Highway Construction

(...) Yep, you get 3 4x18 bricks. What's most sad about this set is the grey 2x4x3 bricks in the pylons. I just finished building everything last night. The construction vehicles are decent, though a little under detailed. There is only one (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Boston Transit Fun

(...) The best place I can suggest for anyone in the Toronto, Ont area to visit for ideas of light rail equipment is the Halton County Radial Museum, near Rockwood, Ont. First rate, they have lots of ex-TTC stuff, including #4000, the first Toronto (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)
