Re: New vs. old (was Re: More 1999 Figs... ?)

(...) I dunno. I've built several different ships using insectoid pieces -- and my creations don't look insectoid in the least.... (...) Yes, I agree heartily here. Even better if they would interface nicely with technic, for making walking (...) (27 years ago, 26-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

  IR Landmarks

Greetings! Does any one know of some device that could be used to continuously transmit a certain IR code.   Re: New vs. old (was Re: More 1999 Figs... ?)

(...) The problem (for me) is that the Insectoids sets (at least the smaller ones) are only really good for building that one model. They aren't as bad (in this respect) as Time Cruisers sets were, but they aren't as generally useful for building as (...) (27 years ago, 26-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Timmy

(...) In case no one got back to you, Timmy is the little boy head with round eyes and freckles. Came in the TimeTwisters and Freestyle sets. The green torsos with the T on them can be considered Timmy torsos. There's a rumor floating around (...) (27 years ago, 26-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

My first servo try! Cool! (C Question)

Hi all, I'm still amazed with this Handyboard! I had some free time to play this weekend and hooked up a Servo motor for the first time. It was a small futaba that I got from B&G or Electronics Goldmine (I can't remember which). Anyway, I have a few (...) (27 years ago, 26-Oct-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  IR Transmission and Reception

Hi All: I am new to the handyboard list as I just got my handyboard.   Bot-Kit for MindStorms and CyberMaster

Anyone intersted in some older sets?

Hi Last weekend, I saw these sets in one of my favorite toy stores. I don't like pirates at all, and other are the ones that I've already have or too expensive to have one, so seeing that they are discontinued sets I think someone may want them. (...)   Re: New vs. old (was Re: More 1999 Figs... ?)

(...) BTW, how many people integrate both the older and newer minifigs in their layouts? I've decided to have both in my town. It's kinda like having two different races. They are similar in many ways but there are some important differences too. (...) (27 years ago, 26-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

  Other Parts...

I was wondering if it's ok to use another voltage monitor such as Zetex's ZM33064C (5vcc, 4.6v thresh, sinks 60mA) in place of the Dallas DS1233? Also, is it possible to modify the LCD routines to work with displays other than 2x16. Specifically I (...) (27 years ago, 26-Oct-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Lego SW Release Date?

(...) I don't think in time for Christmas -- the 1998 sets didn't appear for several months into the year. The Plan is for the initial SW sets to be based on the classic movies, and then for future ones to be pased on the prequels. (27 years ago, 26-Oct-98, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: New vs. old (was Re: More 1999 Figs... ?)

(...) What other insectoids-specific parts? I think I've given you a comprehensive list. There's also the trans-yellow/green "eye" domes, but those seemed more generally useful than just insectoid, so I didn't count them. But even with those: three (...)
