  Re: Futaba or Hitec servos

(...) As always with the "what is better" question, I must ask... What do you mean by "better"? They will operate the same, I think they have the same cable pinout. The Hitec ones are cheaper usually, but a little larger for the same specs. At the (...) (25 years ago, 19-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Exploration Mars missing?

Re: hex values (was: Re: Loader)

Michael, I can understand the need to use hex to define custom (non-TLC produced) colors, and I'm sure that you'll find a way to fix this. What I'd like to know is why the transparent versions of the standard colors are now saved in this manner. Now (...) (25 years ago, 19-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Tallest LEGO structure...?

My wife recently gave me the DK 'The Ultimate LEGO Book' as an early Christmas gift. I seem to remember there being talk of what the largest LEGO structure is. On page 73 There is a 'tower' being put together by a crane in August of 1988. It was (...) (25 years ago, 19-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Policy clarification regarding catalogs

(...) No, they are not. One cannot give a URL to take a person directly, one has to quote navigation path. That's bogus. Followups to .publish, this is a pet peeve of mine that I have expounded on there before. (...) (25 years ago, 19-Dec-99, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.publish)

(...) I suggest defining the custom colors the way LDLite does, ie: 0 COLOR ... That way, you can still use the color numbers in the .dat lines so that the file will still work in LDraw and LEdit, except that the colors will be off. --Bram Bram (...)   Re: Transparent Yellow -- dead or alive?

In my opinion, that would ruin the feeling of LEGO. If you wanted things like that, then you could build them yourself (like a lot of people makes MindStorms sensors). LEGO is a toy for children, and I doubt that a 6-year old would have fun with (...) (25 years ago, 19-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Sound patch for 0.2.3

As somebody painted out today, the frequency settings for PITCH_Gm2 through PITCH_Am3 (or 23-37) are erroneous. I copied and pasted these from Martin's "Wir sind die Roboter" demo, which seems to be in error, too. A patch to alleviate the problem is (...)
