I would buy two rcx set : you get lot more for your money. With multi rcx, you can experiment inter-rcx communication... Well, having read both books now, I have to say this: which book you want first depends on what you are looking for. I bought one of the big green ugly things. It does have the throwbot parts! It also has two sets of rack steering, a black turntable and a couple of the larger bevel gears. We can never "Pay Dave Back" for NQC, but we can Pay Forward by taking our Lego and MindStorms stuff into our local school, 4-H club, Scouts, etc, etc and showing kids what Robots and Intelligent Machines are all about, and teaching them NQC.
