  Re: MLcad and Ldraw

(...) You must install LDraw first. It has a repository of differrent elements (bricks, if you will) that are used to create the visual representation. If you haven't gotten this archive with either, it's possible both won't work. Posting exactly (...) (25 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad)

  What happened?

Aarrrrrrggg...ggghhh...hhh. The mailing list (using e-mail to read/post to this discussion board) support seems to have fizzled with the server move. This is mostly a test post. I've tried re-subscribing, but that doesn't seem to work either. And (...) (25 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: This dropped out of the papers this weekend...

(...) Why is it that the *kid* has the bottle? Subtle counter-message to the advertisement? Why don't they just airbrush shadows of skulls into the LEGO bricks? Steve (25 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.general, lugnet.technic)

´My current project is a town, but I ahve one problem: I don´t know how to design the houses for my minifigs! Not offices or skyscrapers, but their homes. Do you use 3 or 4 walls in them? 1 or 2 stud thick wall? I would like to see some pictures of (...) (25 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.town)

(...) Because he had $100 in TRU Visa credit to use. TRU doesn't tend to have much that I want so that was a good chance to use the credit. Oh well, TRU will likely put the 4561s on sale too. Steve (25 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Oddities about 6464

(...) Yes. It has never been marketed in major National chains (TRU, Wal-Mart, Target). Zainy Brainy has also gotten a number of European (or Non-American) sets, like 5571 and 4565. Jeff (25 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: This dropped out of the papers this weekend...

Some of the earliest LEGO pictures showing adults building LEGO was from LEGO Building Idea Book #1 (the first LEGO idea book issued 1960-67). Check out the last few pictures in this website (it'll take a while to load the pictures): (URL) the (...) (25 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.general, lugnet.technic)

(...) Sometimes, transparent parts have decorative printing. And the LDraw library should be written so that modelers can use any part in any color, even if LEGO hasn't released that part/color combination yet. Decorations on transparent parts shows (...)
