  Re: Line Followers

Perhaps the light sensor could be placed at the end of a vertical arm that swings in a cone pattern. This would prevent the twisting of connectors. -Wes (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Got my Battle Droid!!

Hey guys- I got my battle droid technic set delivered from Scotland yesterday. (thanx Scott!). I just wanted to give some thoughts about it: It rocks! It's a good set as far a peice count, and should probably be a $30 set over here in the States (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Serial Comm with RCX

Garry- I can't speak to your problem specifically, but you may actually want to try to make the HP speak directly to the RCX, skipping the IR Tower altogether. Someone claimed to have done this months ago, but never posted any code, so I have no (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: HandyBoard Charging

no, to do the battery run-down test, you must not have it plugged in! otherwise you'd just be powering it from the adapter, and you'd never run out of juice. so, the steps are: 1. bootload your HB with pcode_hb.s19. you should see the Interactive C (...)   Re: Line Following by Humans versus Bots

(...) Although it's an "old" book now by scientific standards, Valentino Brateiberg's Vehicles (MIT press I believe, still in print) contains a clear and accessible discussion of this topic, plus reference to the standard literature. I suppose you (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Line Followers

Hello, After various discussions here about maze walkers and synchro 'bots, I decided to try my hand at YASB (yet another synchro 'bot). Furthermore, I decided that instead inverting the problem as Ralph did, that I would turn it inside out by (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Lego Insurance?

(...) There was a thread on this not all that long ago: (URL) a whole bunch of suggestions got made. I recall someone saying that they took several eBay auction results for sets they currently had to their insurance agent as an indication of current (...)   Re: Prices of New Star Wars LEGO

(...) That is GREAT! Not only because the prices are great, but the fact that TRU actually has them entered means we could very easily have them before X-mas!! Whoo-HOO! Chris (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: 2000 Technic

(...) I couldn't agree more on this. I have tons of Technic wheels, all sizes, and definitely don't need any more. But I'm always interested in getting some rare parts, new parts, or old parts in new colors. Mario (URL) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Prices of New Star Wars LEGO

(...) Huh? I would agree with all of these except Slave I and the B-Wing just from their size and set numbers I would have guessed 29.99 for Slave I and at least 49.99 for the B-Wing because it has that big maintenance thingy. Well I hope you are (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: ILM

(...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.it)

  Serial Comm with RCX

I am trying to connect my HP49 Calculator with the Mindstorms IR Tower, I thought I had got the protocols right, the Green LED lights when I send the packet but nothing else, no reply from the RCX.   Two female minifigs in castle 2000?

In the new 2000 catalog there appear to be two female minifigs in castle set 6091. Beside the maiden minifig it looks like one of the knights is female also! If you look closely at the face of the knight with red legs just to the right of the king (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)
