I have a "Bill & Mary" Idea Book for sale for $20. This one has creases and wrinkles and a few spots of red marking on two of the pages - but nothing too distracting. Several stickers are present/several are missing - it depends if you are an (...) (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: what is everyons favorite castle headpiece?

(...) Let's see... the order I'd rank 'em in... how bout I rate 'em on a scale of 1 to 10? (10 is the best, 1 is worst) Castle helmets: 8 Grille helmet 9 Moveable grille helmet ("pig nose?") 9 Bullet helmet 10 Bullet/Flare w/ nose guard helmet 3 (...) (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Technic air-dampers

As Huw says, the black piece of plastic, that prevents the spring from dropping into the clear cylinder, breaks up. This renders the damper completely useless. As soon as my original replacements arrived, I placed them in a compressed position, to (...) (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Functional languages and/or RCX wrapper code

(...) You may want to take a look at some or all of the rcxlib portion of the NQC source ((URL) It already includes a portable comm implementation across Win/Mac/Unix. I think its also a bit more robust in terms of communication protocol than the (...) (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Battering Ram WAS: Tan Peasants

<SNIP SNIP SNIP> (...) Ahh, my old Battering Ram. I made my own Battering Ram by taking a couple of short column (6B High) sections and placing them on their sides, attaching four wheels, a 2x2 apex peak on the front and large hexagon guards for the (...)   Re: 2000 Technic

(...) That's a fairly safe bet -- the US/NA in-box System catalogs typically *don't* include much of the Technic Line. There's an entirely separate Technic catalog, which doesn't usually show up as soon as the System catalog. Steve (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 2000 Technic

(...) I'm sure there are more sets that those shown in this catalog. There will most likely be a separate Technic catalog showing all the "normal" (probably 82xx/84xx) Technic sets. The Star Wars and RoboRiders (or whatever they're called) are in (...) (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Lego Game

(...) Yep - a poor joke. What I was trying to say (not in so many words), was that as Lego Media are bringing out their own software, I can see that they may have issues with someone calling their own game "Ultimate Space Lego Combat Sim". If only I (...) (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: what is everyons favorite castle headpiece?

(...) I agree that all the helms above are good (the best is the one with the moveable visor, but I love the peasant and woodsman styles. The best: The Robin Hood Hat! Aaron (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Question on Tan Peasants

(...) lego (...) But without Peasants, there is no one to Plunder and Pillage! That's what I always wanted to do, especially since TLC makes it very hard to besiege a castle. I mean they've only made one Ballista and one Siege Tower!! Not to mention (...) (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Functional languages and/or RCX wrapper code

(...) I am interested also. I started s similar project with the intent of allowing my HP LX200 (A DOS palmtop) to communicate to the RCX directly, with the hopes of mounting the LX200 alongside the RCX. WIth 2MB of RAM it has the resources to do (...) (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: **** the Scout ****

The Scout will work with the standard light sensor. The Scout inputs float at 5 volts (presumably an internal pull up resistor), and when a touch sensor is depressed, drop to about 0.30 volts....pretty standard sinking input logic. With the light (...) (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)
