Sorry to add to the noise in the group. I'm trying to set up my newsreader -- in the past I haven't been successful posting any other way than via the web interface. Thanks, James Wilson (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tx.dfw)

In need of Dacta Castle info

What sizes of green brick baseplates are included in the 9376 Dacta Castle set? I count four of them, but it is hard to tell what size they are from the picture. My guess is one 12x24, one 10x20 and two 8x16. Can anyone confirm this? Also, are there (...) (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: LUGNET Memberships

(...) Todd, Before I begin, I want to mention that members filling out the form from a proxy server should add a few extra keystrokes (like spaces) at the end of each text field, because they get chopped off. Todd, I actually submitted twice; the (...) (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.people)

  Re: FUNCTIONAL PROGRAMMING

(...) An effort has been made to implement a Haskell (a lazy functional language) interface to RCX: (URL) don't know the status of that, though. Søren Bak (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Program Bricks...

(...) This is a fun idea. OTOH, I can just see me trying to program the microwave with buttery fingers and whoops! the brick with the "cook" instruction flips down the back of the stove. JP (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: FUNCTIONAL PROGRAMMING

(...) A note: from all platforms where NQC can run, one can send commands to the RCX using it and not needing to have a serial port communication library... but of course, a wrapper lib around it would be useful to write... /Vlad (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Web Page Update - new syncro/Lego motor internals

(...) Ahhhh, *that's* where I've seen them -- holding the brocolli together. Right, I'm off to the grocery store to see if they will give me 6 (I don't think I'm up for that much brocolli right now). Cheers JP (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  FUNCTIONAL PROGRAMMING

Does knows if is possible to program the RCX in a functional language = like , for example, ML ? Functional programming is very powerfull and "inteligence oriented"; it = would be easy to use such sophisticated techinique like "backtraking" = and so (...)   Re: Adventurers Sets wanted--Trade

Hello again- Thanks for the great response once again. Just a note that the castle sets listed above have been spoken for. I still have the pirates and the space and there are still a lot of Adventure sets I want. "Indiana" Ed Jones (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Joost Reuzel wrote in message ... (...) Apparantly you can just do that. I tried it; it works and it *should* not be harmful. Note, the output should be in the right direction. Eric (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: Homemade LED Bricks

(...) Such LEDs are available. Forward DC -> red, reverse DC -> green, AC -> yellow. I'm looking at a catalogue now with some. -- Frank Wales [frank@limitless.co.uk] (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

WebSite Update - Building a MazeWalker

Digikey has a two wire bi-color LED. The part number is L10008-ND, the manufacturer is Chicago Miniature Lamp, it is on page 601 of the current catalog and the page is available in PDF at www.digikey.com. I just used some of these in a box I (...) (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)
