  Re: Engine Speed Regulation

(...) Sorry Larry, not true. The throttle controls the pressure in the steam chest (Ideally), which controls the speed. (in fact, it does regulate pressure, but also regulates volume) What you are suggesting is done on some engines (corliss mill (...)   FS/FT 6921 Monorail Accessory

I've picked this little set up on my summer trip to Scotland (in the back of a little shop). It's a nice little set (MIB) but I have no need for it.   Running stepper loop at specified (varying) frequency?

I am hoping to control some stepper motors with the Handy Board; I will be wanting to control position vs time. Therefore I will be wanting to send out the step control waveforms at varying times (to modulate velocity). Can this be done from (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Pardoes

Pardoes is the mascotte/cartoon figure of the Dutch 'Efteling' theme park. Besides the rides, fairytale atmosphere and splendid styling is a high asset of this park. (URL) Main wrote in message <3819A4FE.8E7F7926@a...te.edu>... (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Engine Speed Regulation

(...) Working from memory and I could be wrong. But I doubt it. Review. Reciprocating steam engines function by admitting pressurised steam into a chamber (the cylinder) where it expands, doing work against the walls. One of the walls (the piston (...)   WDW Pleasure Island Adventurers Club

Has anyone else been to the Adventurers' Club in Pleasure Island, WDW, Orlando? It is by far my favorite place to go. I managed to get dragged on stage once during a show there and drunkenly tried to explain what a flow meter was. Reviews anyone?? (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Help needed reviving my HB

Hi HBoarders! Can anybody help me with making my HB run? Following the instructions from the assembly manual, there were no problems until installing the memory.   Re: LegOS newbie wants more info.

(...) I'd suggest just browsing the source. It's nicely written, so it's quite easy to understand. Most demos that I've seen are for an older version of LegOS, anyway, and require porting. The API reference is available on the website, and I think (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

(...) I love that definition Bruce. I think that is as rock solid as you will get in trying to define it. Glad you liked hearing of mine. Can your parrot talk? I bet he can say, "Don't read Piers Anthony. Awk!" ;) Mark L (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Pardoes

There's an interesting model in this month's Theme Gallery on Lego's site. It's called Pardoes, made by "Spierings" - a 15 yo from the Netherlands. I like it a lot; it's a juggler/joker character with floppy hat and curled up toes. Does anyone know (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)
