Re: What type of metail are LEGO 9V tracks made of?

(...) Whatever it is Lego got it right. It is the most trouble free rail I have ever worked with in model railroading. High chrome/nickel steel is my guess. - Jim -- (25 years ago, 28-Oct-99, to lugnet.trains)

We are attempting to incorperate a speech recognition board with the hb. We have the hb controlling an rc car. We also have the speech reconition board controlling the hb. Here is the problem, the microphone for the speech recognition kit is on the (...) (25 years ago, 28-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Not necessarily the handyboard....

(...) Of course, if you *really* felt that bad about "pimping," you could've sent that privately and not to the whole list...wink, wink :-) I saw the price of your boards. One word: HOBBIEST I say to heck with the expense of boards, nearly anything (...) (25 years ago, 28-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

(...) a (...) catalog. I managed to get a freebie even with ordering 1775. Of course, I didn't have a catalog in front of me (I stated that to the S@H rep, but it didn't matter). 2 1775s, 2 3438s, a large gray baseplate and two T-junction road (...)   Re: Group to discuss Teaching Lego Robotics?? lugnet.robotics.teaching ???

(...) I ment issues in general, but the prelude to this discussion was someones desire to discuss educational issues beyond the Mindfest event. From my point of view and my area of interests the robotics threads are structured fine. But if I think (...) (25 years ago, 28-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.events)

  RE: Double echo

(...) Yes, it should. The issue is that you never really know if the stack will blast through the 256 byte boundary, unless HAT checks it. You generally allocate small stacks, so HAT could be modified to FORCE the data stack to start at the boundary (...) (25 years ago, 28-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

Re: !!! Laser attachments for Mindstorms !!!

Actual multiplexing? Or just a touch and a light on each input (since that is all I can find in the NQC tutorial?) Again, curious (though a little frustrated since it will cost ~$40 to copy the floor pattern I need.) Luis (...) ###...### Profanity (...) (25 years ago, 28-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: !!! Laser attachments for Mindstorms !!!

(...) In fact the rotation sensors work much better for this, because they will easily tell you when you stopped in any direction. It is much more complex to build a bumper which surrounds the RCX and can detect hits from most any direction. I did (...) (25 years ago, 28-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: NorthWestFest page is now up

(...) I found the real URL by taking the fake V3-URL and decapitalizing the word "LEGO" on a hunch. It worked out. Those V3 URL's aren't worth messing with anyway. --Todd (25 years ago, 28-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
