  Re: Lego 236 Garage

(...) Back in the 50's and 60's not only didn't a lot of the sets not have instructions, but some of them had instructions on the inside box top. The Town Plan #725 and Junior Constructor #717 were two large 1961-64 sets that were in a large heavy (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Pneumatics and the RCX -how?

(...) Very nice construction!!! Could you post some pictures of your hand-held controller too? (Whatever is on the off-screen end of the tether seen in the video clip.) Is that just a battery box, or is there more to it? (...) I had some thoughts (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Utah Legomaniacs group name nominations

(...) Then maybe it's time to fix that, neh? :-, I had no idea what "Bay Area" was until I came to the States...then I discovered it referred to the San Francisco Bay area...then I discovered it really depended upon which bay you were closest to.   Re: Star Wars Set WIshes

(...) For me the answer is yes but not a resounding one. Star Wars is actually better then most current lines in terms of generics. (...) I do alot to actually make generics. For the pilots it is easy just change the head. Because aliens are (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Mc Donalds Duplo

It looks like if your Kids are too young for Lego... you'll get Duplo instead! "While each toy can be enjoyed individually, kids can collect all eight and build a LEGO super model aircraft.   Re: Star Wars Legos (aka The cure for the Dark Ages)

(...) I actually bought one of the little planes from the adventurers set, on a whim (because I thought it was neat). Inside was the little brochure for the SW sets, which really got me going. My fiance is pretty supportive of it. She'll even urge (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Some disturbing news

(...) But, does this come down to one simple fact: Parent involvement? John Neal actually *enjoys* Lego bricks - I can personally vouch for that! Some parents nowdays just buy their kids toys and that's the end of it - they just tell the kids to "go (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Launch of new site: SimiLego

What I want to know with towns like this one is: how do you reach into the middle of it? What if a train derails in the middle, or you want to change something in there? Kevin (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Star Wars Legos (aka The cure for the Dark Ages)

(...) Fortunately, my wife is quite long-suffering and indulgent regarding my Lego vice. A successful strategy that I have found is to spend as much money on her as I do on Legos. This serves 3 purposes: It makes her happy, gives me a little bit (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Greatest Adventurer Books

  Yet another Falcon opinion

My two cents: - I'm not a big fan of the UFO hull pieces, but if they allow it to be produced at something other than an outrageously small scale because of weight/cost savings, I can live with it. - Since this is a preproduction prototype, we can (...) (...) My apologies . . . in my haste I didn't do my research . . . that should have been "Bring back clear 3x2 slopes from Police Boat 709." (Don't ask how . . .) James "Invent and market through S@H vast quantities of clear 3x3 packs" Simpson (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Star Wars Set WIshes

Does anyone else wish they'd just include 'regular joes' with the various sets some times? Like the X-Wing Fighter, Snowspeeder, Tie Fighter, Naboo Fighter. It's annoying, to us that buy multiples (at least me) to have 10 Luke Skywalkers. It'd be (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)
