RE: Wot no RCX power connector?

(...) I've read that the end where the power connector was is "thinner" which is OK since the connector was mounted on the component side and would have added to the hight required. Scott, I do know, that's why I hide it behind the Mouseover (nice trick, isn't it :-) ). Do you think the company with the famous name will detect it nevertheless ? Cheers Adrian (25 years ago, 19-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  About new minifig heads.

Has anyone ever made the minifig head with the classic smile, eyebrows, and the curly-qued mustache? In addition to being good for the fire chief, I think it would also work for "plumbers". James J.   Re: Wot no RCX power connector?

No, while the RCX is in an "off" state, the firmware is maintained via a trickle current (something like the CMOS registers in an personal computer) supplied by the batteries. When one removes the batteries, the firmware and any stored programs are (...) (25 years ago, 19-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Wait a minute... Doesn't the RCX hold its firmware across the auto power down? I thought it did. That being the case, all you'd have to have done was turn it back on, no? -Kekoa (25 years ago, 19-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)
