  Re: New Star Wars Stuff

(...) It's not any worse-shaped than Darth Vader's. (...) I bet they give him a cloth vest. Steve (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Want US Exclusive sets, but not in the US? I'll get them for you for COST

I'm sure there are non-US people that may want the new 3438 US S@H Exclusive McDonald's set (or K2996 Adventurer's set (contains 2996, 2995, 5900), or 3442 Legoland California Truck, or 2148 if not available in your country). I'll throw out my (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Favorite Adventurers vehicles (Re: 4x2ReVu: 5909)

(...) I felt they had poor color selection and a low piece count. Nothing that couldn't ultimately be fixed with a load of fairly standard bricks, I suppose. (...) Three sets of different size consisting of nothing but white bricks just doesn't do (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: CRUSADER STICKERS!!!!

(...) This sounds so cool - congratulations on getting this done. Questions: Are these just torso-sized stickers or can you also get triangle and egg-shaped stickers? I was confused by your next post. Will these come on a sheet of some sort, like 30 (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: some good stuff on ebay

(...) Please don't apologise. I'm glad you brought these to our attention! I think a lot of us feel that eBay has flaws but is the most viable way to sell things if you want wide exposure. I think a lot of us think it has flaws but it is a good way (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Hello , After many trials and finally finding the right place, I can obtain Crusader stickers cut to the lego size and would fit perfectly. The wont rub or anything some thermal printing of some sort. the catch is they do cost a little. .30 each (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New angled beam

(...) Well, yes. And they're a tad bit overdone, in my opinion. The 1998 low profile wheels, as in 8428 and 8462, look pretty good as motorcycle wheels, but for a car, they look quite odd, I think. But as you say, they try to look like alloy wheels, (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Lego Article (Re: I'm famous (or infamous))

(...) Nope, no better intel, but my feeling is this: women do most of the gift-buying, especially for kids. When men buy gifts, it's for a woman. So, when males are buying LEGO, it is likely they are buying for themselves. I'd put it as high as (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people)

Re: general rambling (was: New angled beam)

(...) I haven't seen the suspension setup of the 8448, but can it be that the shock absorber is closer to that chassis up front than rear? When using the 8880 setup, I've found this to be a problem. If you put the shock absorbers too close to the (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.technic)

  More IR proximity detectors

We're trying to use the little radio shack IR transmitter and reciever units to build our own. We're not sure exactly how this will work, but before we get too far, is this a reasonable thing to do? Will these be strong enough to use as proximity (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: female figures

(...) That's a little trickier, sad to say. Female figs in the castle line are few and far between - and most of the sets they come in are highly sought after. King's Mountain Fortress, Maiden's Cart, and Guarded Inn spring to mind, among others) (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Clipping / CCW / CW / INVERT

Lots of good stuff in your post, Rui! (...) (Side note: there are not actually any solids in LDraw. Only lines and polygons). (...) Actually, since LDraw doesn't do shading, transparent surfaces *can* be clipped. Only edges, the top-most solid (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: I hate professor pith helmet

(...) Hooray Bruce! You said it! As far as all those extras go I would suggest using them for trade fodder. Someone like me doesn't even have a single witch or Redbeard, though I wish I did, and might be willing to get you something you need. Mark L (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: 4x2ReVu: 4950 Loader Dozer

(...) Maybe it's just that I'm trying to open it too quickly. I always lift it abou two "teeth" notches and then the canopy and hinges come off on the third notch. I'll try to take things a little more gently. (...) Hey, that's a good idea. I'm (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.underground)

  Re: B-Wing and Modified A-Wing

Sure, I will try and get something up for you. At the very least I can probably put all the relavent files in a zip file and E-mail them to you. My problem is I just have not taken the time to figure out how to inlay primitives and sub-models. I (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Favorite Adventurers vehicles (Re: 4x2ReVu: 5909)

(...) Why do you think that price per piece did go up on the sets? Is it the "juniorization", to use your word, of the larger less building intensive pieces? And what do you mean by inspired? (...) Well we all have our opinions. Did you like the (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)
