Re: Favorite Adventurers vehicles (Re: 4x2ReVu: 5909)

(...) Steve I was wondering what you specifically found uninteresting about the Amazon sets. I found them much more vibrant and alive than any other lego sets ever. I love their attempt to do a jungle. I can see your point on the architecture, (...) (27 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: I hate professor pith helmet

(...) set (...) I have to agree with you on the old Prof. They at least changed Pippin's outfit from one theme to the next. I know it is partly due to the context of following one set of adventurers from site to site, but my god I must have 30 (...) (27 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

  180° IR Eyeball

Look at www.robotbuilder.com . Go to lego projects and look at the forums. There is a message saying something about a IR Eyeball. It sounds pretty interesting, but his istructions are sort of complicated to understand. If someone could deipher the (...) (27 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: KB KIDS.com 20% Off sale (and 50% clearance items, more importantly)

I just placed an order with KBKIDS. The salesperson told me that the web site is in fact -more- up-to-date with the inventory than the salespeople. They are, in fact, sold out of the "Lego System Outback Airstrip." However, they do have an (...) (27 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: New Star Wars Stuff

(...) While that is of course true, it still looks ousized to me. If you take a standard minifig as being ~6 feet tall, and look at how big the model is, and compare it to the sketches in the Episode One Amazing Cut-Aways book... it's huge. Roughly (...)   I hate professor pith helmet

Sorry to rant but I just have to express my disdain for the professor pith helmet figure. He seems to come in almost every medium-to-large adventurer set and he's the most difficult to make blend into a minifig crowd (not just the dumb face but the (...) John Barnes wrote in message <3.0.32.199910071132...server>... (...) John: I am a Mechanical with 11 years, and my wife is an Electrical with 15 years experience. (...) In an important series I took as part of my computer science degree at the University of Utah, we did group projects simulating industry (requirements, design phase, etc....) which turned out products which were robots and scanners and such of (...)
