Re: Cudo's to 4910 and an Ugh to 4950

(...) Yes, it does indeed have the sloped control stand in teal. I was a bit surprised to find this part myself, I admit. And the grey odd "plate" which forms the base of the vehicle is really cute. It looks pretty much like an AT-AT feet, I think. (...) (25 years ago, 1-Oct-99, to lugnet.underground, lugnet.reviews)

  IC on Irix

Hello, I have seen on the Newton Labs website that IC is available for SGI Unix. Unfortunately I cannot find any more documentation than that. Does anyone know whether IC will work on Irix 6.2? Also, how do you download P code to the board? I think (...) (25 years ago, 1-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

(...) Not sure what all the fuss is about - the TM symbol looks fine for me in IE5, so I'll keep using it. Better that than the crashes I get with Communicator. (25 years ago, 1-Oct-99, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: New angled beam

(...) You're probably talking about the part which I called "Technic Liftarm 2x4 L-Shape" in LDraw: (URL) part appeared in the "connectable" Technic sets earlier this year. (...) FWIW neither code works on Netscape 3.0 on AIX with the font I use for normal text (153 gives a blank 8482 gives a "?"). Sounds like Todd is just going to have to register the Lugnet trademark :-) (25 years ago, 1-Oct-99, to lugnet.publish)

R2-D2 Obsession (was Re: What about the Micro Scout?)

Okay, I understand your obsession with R2. Actually, he always was my favorite _Star Wars_ character--I even went trick-or-treating as him (with an elaborate--and heavy--cardboard-constructed costume) for two years in a row in late elementary (...) (25 years ago, 1-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) You're making sweeping statements. It may not work with your font set. It works for me on 4.04 and on 4.5 using the default font set I get when I install. The thread you pointed me to has examples where 8482 does not work. So there is no (...) (25 years ago, 1-Oct-99, to lugnet.publish)

Thread is unclear to me. Seems that both the 153 and the 8482 codes work on SOME combinations (of HW, browser, default font setting, etc.) and DON'T on others. see: (URL) ... the very append yours references. Seems to me that Matthew should get a (...) (25 years ago, 1-Oct-99, to lugnet.publish)
