  Re: Lego at Gerf.Org

(...) The possibility of course! (...) Well, the site content is an entirely different issue. I'm entirely understanding of the need for obvious "This is not an official Lego site" disclaimers. But anyway, it's not a matter of translating to (...) (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.publish)

WTB: Round 2x2 white tile with analog clock

I am interested in purchasing a round 2x2 white tile with analog clock. It's the clock from sets like 4554 (Metro Station), 2150 (Train Station), and 6392 (airport). I am assuming/hoping that there are more sets that this is in. I would like for the (...) (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: 5VDC Voltage Regulation

(...) Rubbish. The same happens for motors, and the RCX handles this. (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: 5VDC Voltage Regulation

Don't forget to apply a reverse biased diode across the relay. If you forget this the coil will generate large voltage spikes when the power is removed. This may hurt your RCX. (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: LEGO Stereogram (see it in 3D!)

(...) My father has a tripod adapter that he built that uses a simple parallelogram to create a camera mounting platform that can simply be "flopped" from the left to right position. As I recall, the resulting offset was about an inch- and-a-half. (...) (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

  New Ray-trace of my B-wing.

I have been fooling around with LDraw and POV-Ray trying to familiarize myself with some of their features. In doing so I came up with a new Ray-Tracing I like. This is basically the same B-Wing as before with some minor changes to the S- Foil Guns (...) (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Standardized Inventory File Format?

(...) Are you speaking for yourself? If so, explain why you'd rather use some other programming language system in place of Perl. (...) That possibility, or that I >think< that? ;-) (...) When I read a URL that conists primarily of words, I instinctively try to read it as a sentence instead of as placeholders for a string of numbers. <shrug> That's the language I grew up with. (...) (...) I'm just using a "regular" digital camera -- a Ricoh RDC-300 w/ a 4mm fixed focus lens. The nice thing about the digital camera is that it doesn't cost you anything to mess up your shots. I placed the subject 12-14 inches away and placed the (...) (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)
