Jeff, you asked a very good question. Texture was an interesting part of these sloped pieces. The 1958-72 parts packs basically had the same texture. They do hurt things. When viewing dat's in ldlite via the web interface parts with exponents do not render. They do render when you load them from a local file however. It's a clutch gear. You can use it instead of a pair of pulleys with a rubber band if you want to avoid stalling your motor if something jams. Compared to the pulleys, it gives you a very well defined stall torque - it's actually printed on the (...) (27 years ago, 14-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)
