  Re: The Future of Trains

(...) The Australian LEGO wall wart is marked 10V @ 7VA on the secondary. I don't recall all the stuff I learnt about the relationship between VA and W, but that seems to me to indicate about 0.7A. I believe this generally reduces as load increases, (...) (17 years ago, 8-Oct-07, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.robotics.nxt, lugnet.trains)

  Re: The Future of Trains

(...) I did some research on this several years ago. At the time it was to pursue the idea of wider radii curves. But now it's of even more interest with the 9v track going away. I drew up several different ideas, and even contacted someone in a (...) (17 years ago, 8-Oct-07, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Al seguente indirizzo trovate alcune foto delle sale, tenete presente che non fanno assolutamente giustizia al Museo. Purtroppo sono tutto fuorchè un fotografo.   Five micro skyscrapers

After seeing Adam Tucker's amazing skyscrapers at Brickworld I was inspired to try my own micro-scale versions. To date I've produced five: 1.Sears Tower (Inspired by Adam Tucker, and SpencerR) (URL) 2.St. Louis Arch (URL) 3. Petronas Towers (URL) (...)   Re: What would YOU like to see from TECHNIC?

(...) According to what I have been reading so far, people need many realistic functions on their models. I am of the same view. Many have also expressed a wish of a cross-theme type of model (i.e. space shuttle). the space shuttle was great because (...) (17 years ago, 8-Oct-07, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Opinions sought on rendering method

(...) In my opinion, both images are unusable for instructions. Prefering legibility over realism (though a bit of "realism" is still needed to even recognize the shapes), I put down some universal rules for creating instructions of virtually any (...)   Re: Evento al Museo di Zagarolo

(17 years ago, 8-Oct-07, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  Re: Waterborne offensive!

Fradel, Thanks for the kind words. My Whale doesn't have a depth charge rack, basically because I couldn't fit one in without it looking out of place. The vertical fans (not sure what they’re really called) take up a lot of space, and I don't think (...) (17 years ago, 8-Oct-07, to lugnet.build.military)

I apologize for the inability (both in time and mental stamina) to read this entire thread. But I feel the need to offer an easily-backwards compatible alternative to the power supplies thus far mentioned... No need to recharge underpowered (...) (17 years ago, 8-Oct-07, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Re: 7996 Metalized

(...) I ran a similar experiment using 4.5v track, and repeated it with some of the RC track. (URL) I built a oval of track with half being new 9v track and the other foil covered RC track. I cleaned the track with a bit of rubbing alcohol. I ran a (...) (17 years ago, 8-Oct-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Opinions sought on rendering method

(...) This is one of the main reasons I posted asking for opinions. I think I can fix this, but I know that fixing it is going to be a lot of work. There's no point bothering if people aren't going to like the results. (...) That can be fixed (with (...) (17 years ago, 8-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

Re: Opinions sought on rendering method

(...) That isn't a silly question at all, really. In fact, it may be more important than all the flaws that have been pointed out. Based on the comments here, there seems to be a general consensus about a few things regarding "high-quality (...) (17 years ago, 8-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

(...) On my monitor, version 1 certainly looks cleaner and sharper. I will be interested to see how you accomplished this. It might get me back into creating instructions again, which is something I have stopped doing because I was getting so (...) (17 years ago, 8-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)
