  New Building

All, I just wanted to share with you my latest building. Its part of my on going list of MOCs created almost entirely from the PAB wall. This building, when finished will stand over 4 1/2 feet tall. I had to make the building sectional so I can (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Robo Quad - Stage Seven

Coming along nicely Eric. Can't wait to see video of this thing in action. Cheers, Nathan (19 years ago, 9-May-07, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  A challenge to anyone interested

I don't post here on LUGNET all that much anymore, though I lurk a good bit. Over the years, I've seen (as I suspect we've all seen) many an eager AFOL happily post a message to share an MOC, only to post a less happy message a few days later when (...)   Re: LDD continuously downloading updates (Mac)

(...) The update worked fine on my PC. I would recommend calling customer service. I will also mention it to Steve & Jan. Are you able to continue using it by choosing not to update? (I can't remember if it gave me the option or not.) ROSCO (URL) (19 years ago, 9-May-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd, FTX)

Re: A request to those who have "switched over"

(...) I don't think it's appropriate, and I try not to do it myself, but IMHO, it's at least understandable. This is the color newsgroup after all. It's going to come up frequently for a LONG time! That post did reflect my feelings quite accurately (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-07, to lugnet.color)

Re: Why do you love bley?

(...) And Tan. And all the blues. And Dark Red. And it works fine in Technic models with Yellow, Red, White, etc. Actually, I like the new Aquaraiders sets, and they use a variety of colors with Bley, and nothing really clashes. (I've seen lots of (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-07, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  LDD continuously downloading updates (Mac)

I've fallen into an infinite loop. When I launch LDD, LDD informs me that there is a new version, so I agree to download it. LDD goes through its installation procedure, but each time I go back to LDD, it informs me that there is a new version (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

Re: Why do you love bley?

(...) Are you sure your eyes are working correctly? The vast majority of the LEGO color palette has a warm tone to it, including "primary" blue, a color which is traditionally supposed to be the far extreme of the cool palette. The bleys have a very (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-07, to lugnet.color, FTX)

MOC: Inter-City Bus for Personal Pods

Hey all, This blocky baby has been languishing on my shelf for awhile and I finally got around to snapping some pics. It's designed to carry up to six very small Personal Pods from city to mega-city! (URL) Enjoy! David Simmons P.S. Can I (...) (19 years ago, 8-May-07, to lugnet.space)

  Anyone home?

Hi folks. I'm a transplant from Wamalug. I need a new lug. My buddy Derek Schin mentioned that you guys still exist. What's the story? F (19 years ago, 9-May-07, to lugnet.org.us.sandlug)

Re: A request to those who have "switched over"

(...) Hi David, I'd primarily like to request that you take a long look at that post, and consider whether it really reflects your feelings- i.e. you think not dealing with [whatever] and continuing to whine is an appropriate reaction for an Adult (...)   Re: Why do you love bley?

(...) I like Dark Bley. It's a different-enough color for me to see it. I never really liked the old greys, they always looked yellowed and faded to me. Brown- now, I liked old brown. I have a lot of it, and I feel protective and nostalgic about it (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-07, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: Corsair 'Adroit Main'

(...) Hi Richie, I like the basic look about this MOC but it seems a little square to me. All of your larger vessels have flared cabins at the rear which I've always admired so perhaps you could incorporate something like this here. The large axe (...)   Re: Le Corbusier House in Stuttgart Weissenhof Estate form 1927

Oh my goodness, I really like seeing your work, I am sorry I missed this. I didn't realize. I enjoyed seeing all the details and the way you used so many great parts. Clean design, very well thought out. Great work. - Eric (19 years ago, 9-May-07, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.build.schleim)

Re: UTB set, LDD and LEGOFactory

(...) Nope. This is about all they gave me ... except for the regular dribble of saying you must download 2.0. I looked around also ... with no luck. So, if anyone out there can find the PDF file location ... please let us know. Thanks. LEE (19 years ago, 9-May-07, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Corsair 'Adroit Main'

(...) Avast you scurvy bilge rat! Uh, I mean... I like the simplicity of the design, clean white stripe, simple sail configuration. I've been planning to use the larger bow pieces for a pirate ship myself, so it's nice to see that it can work. Oh I (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-07, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

Re: Why do you love bley?

(...) Hi Tim, You've really summarised the reasons for using bley very well, and I agree with them all - although I would not give them all equal #1 ranking. I guess my main reason is that they are nicer to look at (particularly the new dark grey) (...) (19 years ago, 8-May-07, to lugnet.color, FTX)
