  Re: Hawker Dankok

(...) Christian, This is very nice, it's hard to capture the look of a biplane, with the rotary engine and spindly struts, but you've done it. Thanks, George (19 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Boiler idea

(...) Nice, also good for tank cars instead of the 2x2 rounded slope piece assuming you can get enough longitudinal strength. Chris (19 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

Re: LDD Heavyweight passenger train cars

(...) Very nice indeed (...) I like this, I have some floated on a tile and plate assembly shown in BrickJournal, but they fall off too regularly, I think I will be retrofitting these to see how they go. Play Well Chris (19 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

I remember when we recieved these models from the Orlando LEGO store that LEGO was very concerned about how we would use them and represent the LEGO company (URL) now days they seem to have relaxed some, when I recieved our most recent models (...)   Re: Miniland Models To Be Auctioned For Charity

(...) This is a change, yes and no. Several years ago I bought a glue together castle on ebay. I got an email from a lawyer at Lego saying they wanted the model back to destroy it. Of course I said no way. The lawyer then proceeded to tell me that (...) (19 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.legoland.california)

Re: Miniland Models To Be Auctioned For Charity

(...) Times do change. Proceeds from the sale go to charity, so it's double-helpful! Adult fans get to own a piece of the dream, kids get help- and Legoland gets extra publicity- that's triple-helpful! Tim (19 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.legoland.california, FTX)

Re: Miniland Models To Be Auctioned For Charity

Its interesting to see that there has been a shift in the ideals of the company, where "Only The Best is good enough", and a tough policy on destruction of old models that DO NOT represent the Lego brand and values, to the extent of (...)
