Re: What do these macros do?

(...) John - if you've got someone's ear in this, could you also see if a GCC build of the firmware can be released? I know LEGO are unlikely to use GCC themselves as they can afford more specialised tools, but so far, I don't see much of a (...) (19 years ago, 24-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: another comparison

Hi Claude, (...) do you have the DFT algorithm in some programming language like Java or C? I'm just guessing, but maybe it could also be useful for speech recognition? Or maybe telling the cat from the dog? (The sound sensor should be usable as a (...) (19 years ago, 24-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Neo-Classic-Space Freighter WIP

(...) Scroll down to the last picture on this page (the pictures at the top look like they use huge stickers to fake the upper truss structure). (URL) This last picture (without stickers) looks pretty good to me. The SNOT on the command module is (...) (19 years ago, 24-Jan-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Strange rails - found the answer

Hello again Today I found the answer to the question of these strange colors for otherwise very common parts. All of you stating that these parts must be some kind of test mould were right! As I mentioned in my first post, I bought these parts (...) (19 years ago, 24-Jan-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: What do these macros do?

(...) It is possible to write to the popup buffer but only by using the IOMap routine (SetDisplayPopup). The regular system calls which write to the LCD all write to the normal display memory. Unfortunately, as Dick Swan suggested, the current NXT (...) (19 years ago, 24-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Mindstorms question

(...) Nathan, Yes, there are ways to do just about everything you asked. I don't think the RC motors will run at full power when connected to an NXT (which can be done via conversion cables) Personally, I'd suggest gearing up one or more NXT motors, (...)   Mindstorms question

I bought the Mindstorms NXT kit at BrickFest 2006 in hopes of designing a Lego chipper. Although the sensors would make the design possible, the blade of a chipper has to turn at an extremely high RPM- and with a lot of torque. The NXT motors turn (...)   Re: LEGOfan - is it dead?

(...) Hi Todd, LEGOFan is currently offline due to a disk drive problem which took down the RAID array. We've been working with Eric at Northstar Computers to get it fixed, but it looks like the drive(s) are hosed at a low level, and require a clean (...)   Re: Unit LNE of the dinochrome brigade (Was: Rock Crawling)

(...) Awesome! Great videos! BTW if you want to know how to make bigger tires, try inserting old school 1" Lego tires into the crevices around the large grey "hula hoops" from the star wars kit. This will make tires at least 8" (20 cm) in diameter (...) (19 years ago, 24-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)
