What about a piece of masonite backed whiteboard that can be purchased at Home Depot, with tape on it and then use whiteboard pens and an eraser? (...) hmm ... the renderings are in .bmp and the zipper reduces file size from say 3841 KB to 1629 KB. I could convert them to .png while .jpg is out of question because of the artefacts. will take a bit though. w. (20 years ago, 15-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Not stupid - That is pretty much the same idea as registration marks, but better. The "board" could just be a simple 2x frame that could sit on, or have a folded paper board laying inside.
