  New LEGO Poem: Tic Toc

I've been out of touch with the LEGO community for a while (1+ year now) but am happy to say that while my LEGO may be boxed up my spirit it not! As such I'm happy to present the newest LEGO Poem addition entitled TIC TOC (URL) The 1600x1200 version (...)   Re: parts i'd like to see in Lcad/MLcad

(...) Got it! The problem was that I did not save the subfile in the S\ folder - I didn't understand what was going on until I more carefully read the warning upon opening the 's' parts in MLcad: "s\43710s01.dat not found, continue loading?" I (...) (20 years ago, 2-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: BrickFest Bulletin: Town/Train Contests

Hi Joe, Just a couple of silly questions. But I'm a Brickfest-newbie, so please be gentle. :) I read through your posting but for the Town contest specifically, I didn't see two pieces of information. 1) Is this minifig-scale Town? Or just anything (...) (20 years ago, 2-Aug-06, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

Re: parts i'd like to see in Lcad/MLcad

(...) So you're having trouble with the "right hand" part, 43711.dat? There is no "mirror" of s\43710s01.dat - the reference from 43711.dat to the subfile does the mirroring. So no file is "missing" - it isn't needed. It *sounds* like something is (...) (20 years ago, 2-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) Nice MOC, Soren! I know nothing about the toy itself, but your rendition of it has some neat features, like the carefully greebed arms. Cool! (20 years ago, 1-Aug-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: parts i'd like to see in Lcad/MLcad

(...) SNIP I saved that subfile-the mirror of that one is the one missing on the LDraw site (link goes to the same subfile). Even with all the files saved & new partslist created it shows up as stud only. should i load the subfile first, create (...) (20 years ago, 1-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

  Re: rtlToronto22 Ideas?

(...) Right. In a true competition, helping the robot should not be allowed. However adding this rule did not penalize a "good" robot in our event. It just prevented us from stopping games mid-way and saying "that cube is not flat. You lose. Game (...) (20 years ago, 1-Aug-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Lego Vs. Superglue . . . Help me get unstuck, please!!!

(...) Well, you have a good point that I don't NEED to remove them, but what is the fun of building if you can't first take apart? Plus, if I ever want to sell them, I don't think I could with them being glued. I don't know, Legos glued together is (...) (20 years ago, 1-Aug-06, to lugnet.general)

(...) I'm beginning to like this idea too.. but maybe not have the "touching" rule? Eventhough there is a simple solution in programming to guarantee a tie, that assumes perfectly functioning mechanicals... which is rarely the case. Either way, I'm (...)   Re: Lego Vs. Superglue . . . Help me get unstuck, please!!!

(...) Since you mentioned she might have gotten it from LLCA, I'm wondering if it's possibly not GLUE, but MEK residue or GBL- the two options the model builders use. MEK won't come loose in acetone, because it's not a glue, but a solvent the (...) (20 years ago, 1-Aug-06, to lugnet.general)
