  RCX manual

I am looking for a comprehensive manual on the RCX 2.0. Specifically how much memory is there and what the 5 slots are for. Are slots 1 & 2 supposed to be locked? The program I am running is LEGO_Soccer.lib then SOCCER5.VI. A program developed at (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jun-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: C Programming Solution for NXT - Beta Available

(...) What is the licensing? I can't see anything on the web site. From your comments, I take it that this will be free-as-in-beer, but *not* free-as-in-speech? In other words, is this going to be published under some kind of open source license? (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jun-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  OT: special effects movie trailer

NO LEGO. OFF TOPIC. So, 4 months ago, I was asked to provide FX for a small indie film. This is a link to the trailer, 15 meg high res (URL) meg low(er) res (URL) it was a gun shot, spark, or car blowing up, I did it. ya, it really did have Roddy (...)   Re: Creating a Catalogue of LDD Elements

(...) [...] (...) Wow, I propose a kludge for creating a list of elements in LDD and people jump up and point out that LEGO has a list (thanks), and others go on to design pages that read the information right out of the LDD files! The only thing (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad)

Wear out patterns in LEGO train motors...

So... through NELUG, I have been involved in the Millyard project in the SEE Science Center in Manchester, NH. The other day, we took one of the engines off the track, and removed it's dead motor. The motor had died because the springs had failed (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jun-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Provide the high quality display equipment <-spam

This Spam issue was a one-time incident and won't happen again. We had a problem with news-authentication which caused a small but noticeable amount of Spam to make it into the LUGNET newsgroups. We are not trying to delete the messages right now, (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jun-06, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Important: Index rebuild under way and some other issues

Hi all, we are currently rebuilding the indexes of the LUGNET news server. This affects display and performance of the news web pages, but does not affect the NNTP access. We expect rebuild to complete by about 7 a.m. EDT, and reported search issues (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jun-06, to lugnet.announce) !

Re: Official Notice from MechaHub to Eric Sophie

Posting a private message publically without permission is rude and uncouth. You would be howling if I posted some of the things you've said to me. If I were more suspicious I'd say you're trawling for sympathy. As it is, I'm merely peeved. Soren (20 years ago, 19-Jun-06, to lugnet.people.support) !!

  Re: winch

Re: Creating a Catalogue of LDD Elements

(...) I found some time to play around with this again over the weekend. The data conversion is much more complete, includes the part names, and is searchable. (URL) that there are still a couple of parts that don't get mapped correctly though. J (20 years ago, 19-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad)
