I've noticed your messages being bounced as spam, so I thought it prudent
to let you know they were at least received. The issue has been corrected.
Apart from Bryce and myself, you can contact Mark at mark@mechahub.com if
you still have questions.

I could make this a huffy, officious denial, but there's really no point.
Since I expect you will not be looking for trouble, this is the last we
will have to do with each other, and while I rate you considerably lower
than pond scum I think even you deserve the truth.

The Hub exists to keep pictures from falling off the internet. I can
safely say that so long as your ego continues it's present astronomical
expansion there is no danger of your images being lost to the ether.

Second... We're tired, Eric. Tired of the rules-laden affectations of
sites like CSF, tired of watching Lugnet die like a crippled pet. Tired of
watching the myriad tendrils of officialdom and regulation EDIT [xxxx] up a good
fun hobby. But most of all, we're tired of you. So we left, and we didn't
ask you along. And not one of the builders we've contacted has asked for
you to be included. Some builders have even expressed gratitude that we
aren't including you. You will excuse me if I don't name names, but having
noted your frequent threats of violence and general mental instability I
think it prudent.

Bryce actually asked me to ban you from the IRC channel right off. I
talked him out of it, on the grounds that it sets a bad precedent. So you
have me to thank for that. You're welcome to come by anytime.

You've claimed that all you want is to be left alone. Kindly show us the
same courtesy. You can take that as an official request.

Sincerely,
Soren

Eric Sophie writes in response:

I'm tired too and wish to simply build.

Do what you want, at least I know you all had it in you to develop.

Goodbye, good luck.

Re:

Q. I sell my Lego Mecha creations. Can I by included in the Mecha Hub?

A. "This is a sticky question and one which took quite a while to answer.
After consulting several lawyers we have decided not to include builders
who make a living selling their Lego creations. This means that if selling
your Lego creations is your Primary source of income you cannot be
included in the MechaHub. The potential conflicts of interest and
copyright issues are simply too complex for a fan based website. We will,
however, link to websites of Lego artists.

If you sell instructions we can include them so long as you do not make
your living selling them."

I do not make a living from selling my Mecha creations. I have not
submitted any tax form to that effect.

My primary source of income is contractual teaching.

Legally, I have no source of income since I have not filed taxes since
2003.

To date, I have sold one ebay auction and two Auction Brick mecha models.

3 models considered excessive bulk and sold off to relieve the burden of
limited space in my home.

Additionally, in the spirit of eligibility, I would like to mention, out
of the 3 online Lego sales I have made:

1. Mr Jeeves, which does not have a pilot, argueably not Mecha by some
standards. A robot model. Not Mecha per se.

Photograpghically, the images that exist of Mr. Jeeves are copywritten
Eric Sophie, as per publish to Brickshelf.com just like anybody else.

2. Mech Bay 09, was a free standing scultpural light box. Not Mecha per
se.

Photograpghically, the images that exist of Mech Bay 09 are copywritten
Eric Sophie, as per publish to Brickshelf.com just like anybody else.

3. Mech Bay 10 section 1, was a Moon Base module.

Photograpghically, the images that exist of Mech Bay 10 are copywritten
Eric Sophie, as per publish to Brickshelf.com just like anybody else.

Technically, by the letter, I have not sold any Mecha. I do not make my
living selling them.
My primary source of income is teaching/contractor.

Again, all three online Lego sales I have had were excess Lego that I sold
off to relieve the burden of limited space in my home.

Thank you for your consideration.
Thank you for your time.

is the truth.

Let it go. This message serves to end the speculation.

I am tired of answering emails, I don't wish to be short with any of you, just
read this instead and do what you want with it. Just don't bother me or the

Posting a private message publically without permission is rude and uncouth. You would be howling if I posted some of the things you've said to me. If I were more suspicious I'd say you're trawling for sympathy. As it is, I'm merely peeved. Soren (18 years ago, 19-Jun-06, to lugnet.people.support) !!

Dear random people I don't know: This is not frontpage news. Why is it on my lugnet frontpage? I don't care about your useless bickering, I care about things like MOCs and important announcements. I don't believe your schoolyard squabbles fall into (...) (18 years ago, 20-Jun-06, to lugnet.people.support) !!
