Well since you ask about it, Kyle:
After repairing the mail2news gateway yesterday, we realized that
news-authentication failed to work correctly, and in the small timeslot until we
shut down mail2news again, a bunch of spam went through.
mail2news is online now, so you can again post via email, and
news-authentication is operational, so you loose, spammers... ;-)
There's a couple of minor issues left after the switchover, but we are close to
normal state again (and as it appears, significantly faster server-wise...)
