RE: Parts for LDraw or parts for POV-Ray?

(...) Well, I'm pretty sure you didn't, as I was anxious and alert about your reactions to L3P. An "invitation" in the very first L3P announcement of August 27th 1998: (...) and some later on was apparently ignored? But never mind that now. I will (...)   Re: Three new minifigs

Not to mention if you have a soundcard at work, and someone creates a sound file with a high level to it, you annoy the hell out of everyone around you when you hit a page with background music. I have background music on some of my pages, but you (...) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: New review site going up...

(...) Heck, who needs sleep? It's up, just to give people something to look at, I guess. I'm too tired to think about applying it to anything right now, but if there is a desire to use it for some Lego-related purpose and someone else can help (...)   Re: 12V train items from Busy-Bee

(...) I'd be willing to take all the 7867's you could get, if someone was interested in the electrical components. In other words, I only want the lamp posts and not the wires or the lights. (25 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New review site going up...

(...) Yup, and like I said - my domain will have a hosting home for a long time. And unless I suddenly go bankrupt, it'll have a good home like it has now with full Perl usage, etc. Heck, even if I did go broke I could move it to a free place that (...)   Re: LEGO section starting on Compuserve

(...) Don't assume some corporate lawyer wouldn't be arrogant enough to assert that because the faq or acronym list was uploaded to CIS's file servers it suddenly became their (CIS/AOL) property. (25 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: New review site going up...

(...) Not thinking of it; already offered it. (...) Why do you say it's a bad idea? Every section of the LUGNET website (not just /reviews/) can use a curator or a set of co-curators for content and links organization. (Currently, I'm curating all (...)   Re: New review site going up...

(...) I'm pushing Todd's hot button on purpose here a bit, but I suspect that even though it's GPL he might not host it because Todd has a bit of NIH, which is what I was referring to vis-a-vis cathedral vs. bazaar. I bet he'd link to it if you (...) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.admin.general)

Re: New review site going up...

(...) Well, if it needs to be hosted elsewhere I can do that. I can also look into giving a single trustworthy person limited telnet access to my account to actually install and get it working. Or Todd can host it and I can just use it. :) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.admin.general)

Re: LEGO section starting on Compuserve

First off, I know this used to be true, and it may not be anymore... I don't know for sure...   Re: Instructions on CD ROM?

(...) Hrmmm... will do then. I think I have a few gigs free on vader right now - might as well put them to use. Then I can extract the zips and make my own CD's. (25 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Looking for Daniel Kees

If anyone can help me I'm trying to get a hold of Daniel Kees. He was inquiring about a Battle Droid transporter.   Re: Instructions on CD ROM?

don't feel bad, people run wget (or similar) all the time (resulting a 2-5GB daily download rate).   Re: Instructions on CD ROM?

(...) What part? I can elaborate if you think it would help. net net is that the LUGNET Pause DB would be hard to put on a CD because it's more than just raw data. The pages you see are made on the fly and you'd lose all that. (25 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  LEGO section starting on Compuserve

In a moment of insanity I agreed to anchor a LEGO section on Compuserve. It's starting from ground zero and I need advice on what reference files would make a good initial core for the library there. I don't want to try and put up masses of (...) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)
