Re: Project Why? Because I wanna ask!

(...) not to be pendantic, but can I mention that you've allowed non-official sensors in other competitons before? With the premise that the 'bot 'could do it with regular 'LEGO' sensors, but the builder didn't swap 'em in and used the HiTechnic. I (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) I sure dont. John Barns KILLED my dog!!! I saw it with my own eyes. He drove up here in a pick up with the LegWay logo on the side, and then aimed for that cute harmless puppy. It was evil. I cant be sure, But i think Steve H was in the (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: IRON MECHA Results!

(...) Hmmm... Science Fiction has little to do with reality. Allow me to use my absolutely most favorite sci-fi space ship, Imperial (Imperator) Class Star Destroyer. I love Star Destroyers, I drool over any image of a Star Destroyer, however, at (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) Uh...how about...NO. Didn't you read the item about: "Only Lego pieces can be used and only "normal" construction techniques-No sawing, gluing or melting of pieces. You can use as many or as few pieces as you wish." HiTechnic stuff has always (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Oh its not smack. Its a running joke in Wamalug because several times people would get us confused for each other for some reason. (20 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: The Max

F-Dawg, It's a cool mech Frahdeel, I've already told you that, probably your best yet...although I think it needs a new module of your ever expanding, and award-winning mechbay to show it off. (shameless plug for dios) I have to say though, that (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Project Why? Because I wanna ask!

Did we sign off on the non-LEGO built sensors? Would we be able to use HiTechnic stuff for the next competition? And if it's not a sensor, but more of a modified wire connector, such as Rob S. built for his firefighting 'bot-- (URL) this piece (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  My first MOD*

Hi spacers (Space!), I have made my first MOD (*My Own Drawing): (URL) It is called the Bleyship Mk.II. The light and dark greyish colored parts of the ship use actual Lego RGB values for Dark stone grey and Medium stone grey. Full size pic here: (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  The Max

Hi all. I don't post much but here is my lastest mecha. In the renewed spirit of Mecha builder camaraderie I thought it fitting to share it now with you all. This mecha came about because I wanted to try a two-seater variant of this guy: (URL) was (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Making your own train wheels - Inside BBB

BrickJournal 3 is available for download from (URL) and has a three page article about how BBB train wheels are made and making custom parts on Page 18-20. Geoff, Joe, & all - (...) Wow, congratulations guys! This is huge. (...) I, for one, am so glad this idea came to fruition and has some momentum.   Re: IRON MECHA Results!

(...) Ah, I had no idea those were Knight's Kingdom, since I don't/wouldn't own any KK. Mine came from the Creator sets - I privately refer to them as Dino-joints. I used them because they seemed to be the correct size for what I needed, and (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) Thanks for having me as a judge, and for all your efforts. The creativity and variety was great. I'd like to say that this was a difficult set of MOCs to judge, and there were a lot of entries I saw that I really liked. In the constraints of (...)   Ecco i sets di Bob la Spugna...

Che ne pensate dei set di Bob la Spugna? (URL) belli soprattutto per i pezzi contenuti (es. gli inverted slopes da 75° arancioni). Per il resto non conosco molto il personaggio. Luca (20 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  Re: IRON MECHA Results!

(...) He means the Knight's Kingdom (action fig) joints. I wouldn't avoid them. They're nice and strong and bloody useful. Really the legs just look a little small for the arms, if you used the joints again in the legs and covered the actual hinge (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: IRON MECHA Results!

Congrats Stafford! First a mention on the SciFi wire, and now this. Kudos to "Ironmecha Stafford", as you should be addressed from now on. I also must dole out some kudos to Fradel because I called him out to enter, and he beat me like a red-headed (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: IRON MECHA Results!

(...) Hmmm, good explanation. If we're equating 'self-consistency' with 'realism' then I agree with you. A good mecha design is not going to have any 'out-of-place' details. I guess I misunderstood your initial argument. but on the other hand: (...) (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)
