  Re: TRU Sales

(...) It wasn't advertised in any way that I saw. I just saw one on the shelf, remembered having heard about it being cheap at TRU from one of the myriad Lego listservs to which I am subscribed, and scanned it. And then bought the two that were (...) (20 years ago, 1-Nov-05, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Fifth Anniversary Sale...20% off all* items at Legotown

Five years with Bricklink...Wow! It's been alot of fun buying and selling. An anniversary sounds like a good reason to have a sale. The (*) is for Star Wars which I'm running at 10% off, but all the rest: Sets, Parts, Minifigs are all 20% off. (URL) (...) (20 years ago, 1-Nov-05, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: The Ogre

(...) I dig it. You've done a great job with the definition in the chest and minor details that enhance the overall feel. Its very hard to work against the boxiness when making a human form, but you've done an outstanding job. Oh, and I love the (...) (20 years ago, 1-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: A very fast TGV

(...) Thanks for the kind words. From looking at this site. (URL) can see that the TGV Atlantique has 10 cars, 3 1st class, 1 bar car, and 6 2nd class. I have looked at tons of pictures to try to get the right amount of cars. :P At over 10-ft long (...) (20 years ago, 1-Nov-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Far North Bricks 55% off sale continues!

Hmm I keep forgetting that not everyone has eyes with which to find my shop in the bricklink listing. :D Also, as of this posting, there's about $176 worth of stock left at discount prices - I'm hoping someone could clean out all of it for me! :D (20 years ago, 1-Nov-05, to lugnet.market.brickshops)

Happy Halloween All! Got a couple of MOCs for you this fine, chilly night! There's a halloween children's event that runs here in Vancouver (Canada), with lots of costumed characters, singing, dancing, trick-or-treating, etc. It's called "The Great (...)   Re: A very fast TGV

(...) On the video the train had 3 cars and 2 locos but the whole MOC was designed with 5 cars and 2 locos. The real TGV is always compound of 8 cars (and 2 locos) numbered 1 to 8, but usually between Paris and Lyon, there are 2 TGV trains fixed (...) (20 years ago, 31-Oct-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: I WANT LESS!

(...) While I agree with your thoughts in theory, in practice it just doesn't make sense. The thing is, bright colors attract more attention and sell more. After all this was one of the major reasons for the gray to "blay” change in past years. Now (...) (20 years ago, 31-Oct-05, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Anyone remember Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors? If so, has anyone tried to make one of those vehicles out of legos? If so, do you have a link to it? (20 years ago, 31-Oct-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: I WANT LESS!

(...) Hi Steve, While I agree completely with your position on colours I think that the 4679 bonus box is actually part of that process. It has a lot of surplus stock in colours which may not be continued. Tim (20 years ago, 31-Oct-05, to lugnet.dear-lego)
