PS: Here are pics of my TGV. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/7233

Yeah! Nice work.
If I had to make some comments, I would say:
- 10 cars instead of 8 :-) (I think there's only one or two first class cars
(red door), of course only one bar car (yellow door) always in the middle of the
train (number 4 or 14) and the rest is second class (green door))
- I think the front of the locomotive is a bit more sloped on the real train but
I admit it's difficult to do in Lego.

Thanks for the kind words. From looking at this site.

You can see that the TGV Atlantique has 10 cars, 3 1st class, 1 bar car, and 6
2nd class. I have looked at tons of pictures to try to get the right amount of
cars. :P At over 10-ft long its just so impressive to see the TGV go around a
layout.

The only reason I used those BURPs for the nose, was mainly for simplicity. I
still have plans to redo the Engines. I am just having trouble getting the look
right. Plus I just got a whole mess of the 2x2x2 trans black/smoke wall panels.
So maybe I will rework the windows on the cars too.

I hope some day that we can gather all these TGV models together and run them at
a show.

Dave

(...) On the video the train had 3 cars and 2 locos but the whole MOC was designed with 5 cars and 2 locos. The real TGV is always compound of 8 cars (and 2 locos) numbered 1 to 8, but usually between Paris and Lyon, there are 2 TGV trains fixed (...) (19 years ago, 31-Oct-05, to lugnet.trains)
