THings learned this weekend--

I learned a few things too....

rtl'ers really don't party, and that's not a bad thing...

rtl'ers don't, but Shriners do!!!

You really can answer the same question 100 times

Is this made of LEGO?  No it's made of marshmellows!

Having hand-out sheets is much better than saying it...

LOL, if only I would have printed out a ton more!

You only need sleep at the end of a show

And apparently some of us dont even need it then... although, it is nice to be
home.

Train GBC's are very tempermental

Dave is too humble.

Carpet!!  Oliver--best thing ever!!!!

Even when someone, not mentioning any names spills coffee on all over it.

LEGO constructed modules don't travel well over pot-holes--but that doesn't
matter--Jeremy can fix it quickly (even when he's beyond tired)

anythign that doesn't line up--improvise until it does!

Guilty!

ummm...

We need a larger area to sit in....

and a layout where we don't have to climb under the bloody tables.

Thanks to all for the efforts--in my opinion, by far the best layout we've done

I have some thanks as well...

Dave, thank you for another excellent Napoleon moment... (as well as humping the
modules I use, loan of extra bricks and the "water off of ducks back" pep talk -
Too bad we didnt manage to score any vikings though, eh Dave??? wink wink)
Oliver, (my smoking bud) thanks for helping me score some new pneumatics for our
slowly growing collection. Chris, thanks for helping me set up my layout on his
very brief visit to the show (Wonder Woman thanks you as well).  Calum for his
official photographic documentation skills .... (this is me, not mentioning any
buttons.) Jeff (and the lovely Jen) for the cookies... yummy! Derek, for lunch,
chauffeuring me about and not killing me when I broke your "very valuable and
rare" baseplate as I sent it flying across the room. (It's never REALLY a show
until I break something!)  As well, congratulations to both Jeremy and Greg (and
your wives) for their upcoming bundles of joys, good luck and may the Duplo
buying begin!!!

Thanks to all of rtl, Another great show!

Happy Hollowe'en

Janey "Red Brick"
Wow, is that a fez in my suitcase???

(...) Look, some of us are very interested in this. How did it go? What did it look like? Dave, what worked and what didn't, and Janey, what was the crowd reaction (to the GBC, and actually, to all the rest of the layout)? Inquiring minds want to (...)
