  Re: LEGO Ambassadors Cycle 2

(...) snip (...) I think it's more correct to say 'Spotlighted' ;-) But what intriques me is that someone went to the trouble of only highlighting it. Cheers Richie Dulin (21 years ago, 2-Sep-05, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

"The Best and Wisest Man I Have Ever Known."

"...a personal contest between the two men ended, as it could hardly fail to end in such a situation, in their reeling over, locked in each other's arms.   Re: LEGO Ambassadors Cycle 2

(...) Well, Jake did say "The application pool spanned the globe". Maybe he's talking about a different globe than the one I'm familiar with (the one with Asia... and a southern hemisphere)? Presumably, Jake could clear this up by simply giving us (...) (21 years ago, 2-Sep-05, to lugnet.lego)

  Crane lovers delight!

I just found this on Brickshelf: (URL) it beautiful? I like the way he set up the outriggers, and the lattice structure (a bit reminiscent of Dennis Bosman's Liebherr LGD 1550). (21 years ago, 2-Sep-05, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Am I the only person who finds Lego CAD systems infuriating?

(...) I don't want to speak for anyone else, but I would have to ask the question if efficiency and memorability were that important for this CAD system. If you're building the next Airbus 380 or industrial automation, then sure, speed for the (...) (21 years ago, 2-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

LDGLite 1.0.18 for OS X now sets LDRAWDIR correctly

Thanks to Erik Knopp we discovered that the set-ldrawdir.command script that shipped with LDGLite 1.0.18 was not correctly setting the ldrawdir value for users who placed their ldraw directories in their user libraries (~/Library/ldraw). That error (...) (21 years ago, 2-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

(...) Heck this is right up my alley! Here's the link: * (URL) 13 MOCs, most are variations on the Blacktron theme * The as-yet-not-formally-released clone.dat library is needed * Extensive (bordering on exclusive) use of unofficial parts!   Re: Am I the only person who finds Lego CAD systems infuriating?

(...) I think you're missing the point of the original post: All this LDraw talk has produced nothing to effect change on the user interface of the actual software programs which I (and several others now) have difficulty with. If you really wish to (...) (21 years ago, 2-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: LEGO Ambassadors Cycle 2

(...) How many of those 30-40 Million people applied to be LEGO Ambassadors? Knowing the people who've made this selection, having met them in person (Jake, Steve, Jan), I seriously disagree with your characterization of them ignoring such a wide (...)   Re: Godfather Mosaic

(...) Your choice of imagery is particularly nice. Combined with the color scheme (mostly B&W, with sandblue), it does a perfect job of capturing the feel of the movies. Bravo! -Lenny (21 years ago, 2-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)

  Re: LEGO Ambassadors Cycle 2

  Re: LEGO Ambassadors Cycle 2

(...) -snip- (...) The applicants 'spanned the globe'? That's interesting, but it leaves me wondering why the ambassadors don't. Now, I am not a disgruntled failed applicant, nor am I questioning the qualifications of those selected. But we read (...) (21 years ago, 1-Sep-05, to lugnet.lego, FTX)
