(...) No problem Matt, glad you found them useful! ROSCO (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

  Re: GUPPIE

(...) snip (...) Man, that's really sweet. I love seeing interesting and unique part usage and this is a fine example. Excellent work! J (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Am I the only person who finds Lego CAD systems infuriating?

(...) And documenting MOCs is a wonderful thing. Mladen Pejic is (unless there's someone I'm missing) is the only prolific builder who documents every creation in LDRaw format and makes the file freely available. I wish more builders would do this.   Dinosaur Body Neck/Tail Ring (40375)  [DAT]

I needed the Dinosaur Neck Ring for a project I am working on so I designed it. It is my first part - fun stuff, I'll have to try another sometime. I have it submitted at ldraw.org, but I have a feeling the process is pretty slow to make it (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Castle Under Siege (Formaly Known As The Royal Knight's Castle)

I really like what you are doing here. It seems to be an impressive set-up with lots of play value as well as fine lego modelling. I especially like the double drawbridge that allows ships to pass under. I like how you suspended them from the two (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Reduced versions of BBB wheels

(...) Very cool. I had wanted to do that myself - thank you very much for taking the time. I've already put them in a project I'm working on... -Matt :) (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

(...) c) documenting a MOC you want to disassemble (eg: (URL) That is what I mainly use it for, although I have used it for a) as well. ROSCO (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Am I the only person who finds Lego CAD systems infuriating?

(...) Phew. I was getting worried. On the topic of Lego CAD systems (not LDD, but LDraw and derivatives), I've never understood the point of them. About the only things I figured they were good for was a) making instructions and b) prototyping (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Idea for better LEGO Factory building

Some enterprising ALEs have begun to make inventories of the parts bags actually used by LEGO Factory (see (URL) LEGO Factory on BrickWiki>). The brick sets available in LDD 1.4 are stored as simple XML files, human readable and editable. On the (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: FischerTechnik

Well I got my FT set (Robo Mobile) -- I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. It doesn't seem like I can build anything that isn't more or less a variation on the core design of the set. To get enough pieces to do open-ended MOC's, you would have to (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  GUPPIE

Here's a quick one I put together the other night. I call it the GUPPIE because, well, it looks like a fish. (URL) Basically, I was just trying to find another use for this part from the Alpha Team sets: (URL) Comments always appreciated. -Elroy (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX) !

  Re: light the night

Ondrew, I was somehow deeply moved when I first viewed your sculpture this afternoon. As Mark said, I immediately thought of the 9/11 tribute, specifically in my case it brought to mind some of the renderings of proposed WTC replacements. Your (...)   Re: Am I the only person who finds Lego CAD systems infuriating?

(...) I understand why Lego Creator/LDD/whatever has a different interface, same as why I understand the Mindstorms interface is the way it is versus similar to a regular IDE like VisualStudio (eg BricXCC). When I see kids use the Mindstorms "block (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Bondage Vignettes

Great Stuff! I am a huge bond fan so I found this particuarly enjoyable. I like the way you worked several elements of each movie into the scenes. My only quibble is with the Lazenby film (OHMSS) being included in the Connery era, although I guess (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Lego Parts You Hate....

Parts I hate (mainly because I own so many of them and find them useless): 1 x 2 technic brick with 2 holes in light grey (I want more black, not light grey) My entire collection of the newer curved parts (i.e. 1 x 6, 2 x 6 and some of the larger (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.general)
