  Re: Uncouple Train Cars

Hi again, I heard somewhere that one should never ask a question that one is not prepared to answer oneself. So I took up my own challenge and, built a decoupler as well. Mine is 6 studs wide (facing the track) by 14 studs long (perpendicular to (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

RE: Darn those definitions (was: The new Super Car) and ????

Patricia: Compressed solids have same weight and mass, only smaller dimensions (relative to its dimensions WITHOUT the compression forces). If you compress a lot but very a lot a gas it is transformed in LIQUID. The pressure of water (or Hg for that (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Power steering for 8448

Has anyone used a motor to steer the new 8448? HOW?? I put the RCX in the trunk as everybody pointed out you could do.   Re: US S@H shipping 8448

Recieved mine on the 4th. It is simply incredible. One thing I really liked was that if you put a motor in it, you can make it run. Also, I put my Mindstorm RCX in the trunk(it slots in way too easily, as though it was meant too) and ran a wire to (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Yes, the new 8448 is just the same. I just finished building it about 10 minutes ago. There are two instruction books. One just to finish the running hardware, and a second to start upper body and non-moving parts. The second manual is thick as a (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

  New Technic Packaging and Instructions

I was wandering through the Lego aisle of my local TRU and came across two new 1999 sets. They are the new Indy car (8445) and the Apache-type helicopter (8444). I almost missed them because the boxes are no longer the dark blue color that we've (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

  I NEED 1x1 black bricks!

A current project of mine requires numerous 1x1 black bricks - I've already used over 150, and the structure is about less than 2/3 done.   Re: Darn those definitions (was: The new Super Car)

(...) incorrect my friend. if water was not compressable at all there would be no pressure difference from the top to the bottom. Admittedly it is not very easy to do it, but it will compress. Most solids are compressable too. At hight pressures, (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)
