  General Box #5

this box is ready to go. Standard procedure, eh? It would be nice if the longtimers let some of the newbies post their requests first, but whatever. This box will have a lot of blue and a lot of wheels as those were held back from General #1 but (...) (25 years ago, 6-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

My Entry for Coke Can Challenge

Hello All, I have put up a webpage with my entry for the LugNet RCX (coke can) challenge - (URL) robot will retrieve all the can, return then to the starting point, and knows when to stop (counts to three). It is programmed with NQC and uses all (...) (25 years ago, 6-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Question about McDonalds

(...) I just hope the sets are good theme sets like the SHELL promos, not like the recent US Blockbuster promo items. Though they will probably be like Blockbuster. After all, they're free. Ben Gatrelle (URL) (25 years ago, 6-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

  Tan Element List

What follows is a reply I made on RTL to a question about tan pieces availability. I wonder if this would be a good thing to do for all the non-basic colors (brown, green, orange, dark grey, purple, pink, clear, etc.). If we could keep it update (...)   Re: LEGO Books from DK

(...) This IS a nice book. A bit of a putup job for the latest lines, and for the models you'll see in miniland. Rubs my nose in piece unavailability to the unwashed public a bit, but I'm getting used to that. :-) Light on details of manufacturing, (...) (25 years ago, 6-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Bulk Ordering - Secrets Revealed.

(...) Wow, that's actually encouraging, in a weird sort of way... It makes me wonder how many other countries around the world have something like this.   Using Followup-To (was Re: Green Wizard/Witch Hat - what set?)

  LEGO Books from DK

We just got the Fall 1999 DK Family Learning catalog (from Dorling-Kindersley, of course). There are several LEGO books, most of which have been mentioned. But I think there is one brand-new one. Or maybe I haven't been paying close enough (...) (25 years ago, 6-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

  Droid Developer Kit is here

When I read on Internet that it seems everybody else has got his own 8448, I kind of worried and phoned S@H. The lady said my 8448 was shipped on July 28, and my 9748 was shipped on August 1. Guess what? Yesterday when I went home, the Droid (...) (25 years ago, 6-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Cye

We've all seen some pretty amazing things done with MindStorms and Cybermaster, but a replica of Cye would be quite a challenge.
