Joe Vig Contest Entry - 2 Hots and a Cot

Duped again by an unscrupulous travel agent promising high times and easy living, Joe Vig finds the Iron Reich anything but relaxing. (URL) BTW, this vignette is actually a trophy for a yet-to-be-named SciFi award category BrickFest 05', with a (...) (21 years ago, 10-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Joe Vig Contest Entry - Getting a Milkshake

(...) Some interesting things to see here. The use of the plume as spilling drink is really cr8ive. I might want to steal that one ;-) I'm not sure about the waitress legs, although I think they capture the moment quite well, I'd probably have stuck (...) (...) I would suggest (at least initially) to keep it simple. Only support reduction by a factor of two, and then simply average each group of 4 pixels. This should produce a dramatic quality improvement, and be very easy to implement. --Travis (21 years ago, 10-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Hello, and NNTP help

(...) Not really. I had already tried 1119. It appears when I change a setting (eg name), it will give me a connection-refused-type message until I switch to 1119, after which both 119 and 1119 will give me go-setup-type messages. --Jamie (21 years ago, 10-Jun-05, to lugnet.people.newbie)

(...) Thanks. For reference, Don (the person you're responding to) is the LDGLite programmer. Also, unless somebody comes up with some brilliant idea, I don't think the halo problem can be fixed in LDView or LDGLite. --Travis (21 years ago, 10-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Are you pointing to the right port? IIRC LUGNET does not use the default news port. From (URL) (IIRC, somewhat out of date since it still refers to the default port): ".   Extra piece in set #3538?

I recently found most of a #3538 Gravity Games Snowboard Boarder Cross Race at a thrift store. The inventories at Peeron and Bricklink both show a Blue "Plate 3 x 2 with Hole" as part of this set. Where does it go? I cannot find any sign of it in (...) (21 years ago, 10-Jun-05, to lugnet.general)
