Re: Another visitor, stay awhile...stAY FOREVER!!!

(...) That is way cool! I still play that game (and many others) on a free commodore 64 emulator you can download from the web. Nothing beats the classics... Kevin (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: MOC: The GuiseBot

  Re: MOC: The GuiseBot

I like models that make me imagine how they might be practical in their funky details. This would be a good utility robot for inhospitable environments. The "hat" seems like a protector for the canopy (micrometeorites, solar radiation, or you could (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: I am Happy!!! (was Re: Transparent parts (small))

(...) Hmmm, I don't know. While I think you've probably made the right choice selecting ldview (it's the better renderer), I don't think you're comparing the right stuff in those two pics. The "better" ldview pic doesn't display the halo problem (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: What about a LEGO TECHNIC tutorial

(...) The new unpublished LSynth deals with this without any extra information. I use and LDraw file to desribe how to translate/rotate parts to the assumed default position/orientation. LSynth limits pulleys and gears to be planar. It also assumes (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

New tutorial: How to easily rotate a group of parts in MLCad

Hi folks, rotating a group of parts in MLCad using its rotation point feature can be quite laborious: you have to enter co-ordinates, names, might deal with different points or tweak the exact position on-screen... This tutorial will show you an (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.cad.mlcad, FTX)

  Re: No PLI in Layout

(...) Hmm. This does not seem to work either. Here is what I did: 1. Open the LDR file in LPub 2. Uncheck PLIs at the Global tab in the Generate section 3. Generate CSI,PLI and BOM = this does the job: create step images, no PLI 4. Generate Layout = (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: No PLI in Layout

(...) Jaco, I'll look into this. In the meantime, if you manually delete the individual PLI files, and not rerender them. Your layouts should have no PLIs. Kevin (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Ministry of Space is GO!

I hate you. Splendid idea; excellent execution. I especially like how you managed to make it look so retro-futuristic, in a colorscheme that stands out, yet could also be seen as a part of a greater scheme / fleet. Excellent parts usage all around. (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

I am Happy!!! (was Re: Transparent parts (small))

(...) (URL) resolves my issue posted here: (URL) and nice transparent parts. Compare: (URL) will take the "longer" rendering time for granted! It is worth waiting a little while longer ;-) Jaco (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad)

  No PLI in Layout

Hi, Though I uncheck PLIs at the Global tab in the Generate section and add a line 0 LPUB PAGE PLI NO in my LDraw file, LPub keeps drawing PLI's in the Layout or give an error: Operations cancelled. How do I generate layouts without PLI's? Jaco (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad)
