The remote is definitely more friendly. It allows you to control all three motors simultaneously, e.g. A and C forwards and B backwards at the same time. Also, if you control motors with the remote while an RCX program is running on the RCX, only (...) (25 years ago, 2-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

This is the 4-6-2 Steamer I built a while ago. You may have seen it at the Carlsbad Legofest or when I mentioned it on RTL a while ago. I made a flashlight follower using two motors placed underneath the RCX in the middle (so it can turn in place), two skid-plates, and a light sensor mounted on one end. I made it a week ago as inspiration for the LEGO summer-campers that came to (...) (25 years ago, 2-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)
