  Re: Lego dimensions

(...) I am an engineering student and have access to a rapid prototyping lab. The whole point of this is that there is this one type of brick that I wish Lego made (an 8x4 wing without studs) and if I can get the underside dimensions of a normal 8x4 (...)   Re: Lego dimensions

(...) I'm not trying to be a smartypants, but might you also have access to a 3-D scanner? I mean, aren't they used in the design of a lot of current hi-res action figures? That kind of scanner would seem useful, if only to give you high-precision (...) (21 years ago, 4-Apr-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Lego dimensions

(...) About .1 mm if possible (...) The LDraw peices do not have the accuracy I need. I have the opportunity to use an ABS 3D printer and want to make myself a couple of custom parts, but in order for it to print nicely I need some very precise (...) (21 years ago, 4-Apr-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Blade Runner Police Spinner: version 2

As a HUGE Blade Runner/Syd Mead fan (and proud native of Los Angeles) I gotta say, that is REALLY COOL! I have a long list of LA-inspired MOCs I want to make, and probably 2 or 3 on the list (after FLW's Ennis-Brown house - another Blade Runner (...) (21 years ago, 4-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Gundam Head

(...) Thanks for posting these pics and head instrutions. I have been studying your work for some time now. I was interested in getting a set of the Teknomeka instructions. I have a question about that. I was wondering if the new style turntables (...) (21 years ago, 4-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: Multi-Terrain Analyzer ACR-10

(...) Bram, Way cool, I'm dying to see how exactly you did the articulations though. And it could use some action shots, with bug eyed Aliens. Thanks, George (21 years ago, 4-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Crate Contraption Writeups

Thanks to Philo, I've put up much smaller versions of the Crate Contraption videos for download. You'll have to have the latest DIVX codec (from www.divx.com) installed. The videos average 1/4 to 1/5 the size of the originals. (URL) on the Divx (...) (21 years ago, 4-Apr-05, to lugnet.org.us.smart, lugnet.robotics)

Re: Blade Runner Police Spinner: version 2

(...) Boy, is it! The director's cut of Blade Runner is one of my favorite films (and Ridley Scott's last great work, IMO). I'm always delighted to see a good rendition of the police spinner, even when I can't track down (URL) the picture of it (...) (21 years ago, 4-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: Multi-Terrain Analyzer ACR-10

Re: Packing MOCs for Shipment - Suggestions?

(...) This kind of stuff would be excellent material for a curator to collect... The trick is to consider what forces cause MOCs to disassemble. Vibration is one issue. Solidly constructed models will survive best from this standpoint. This is the (...) (21 years ago, 4-Apr-05, to lugnet.storage)

Sweet! The wheels/suspension are especially nice, but my favorite part is the name, which sounds like something Lego would have come up with. James Wilson Dallas, TX (21 years ago, 4-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

I'm gonna have nightmares about all those curved pieces--I can barely get four of them to look good, and here you've raised an entire civilization of the things and they probably worship you as a god.   Re: Blade Runner Police Spinner: version 2
