Program INI files (was: RE: Some comments on the LPub 2.2.0.9 beta)

(...) I like to add that LDDP, LDAO, and, to some extent, L3PAO use the ldraw.ini file to store program wide settings. I like this approach since it doesn't use the registry (which I abhor) and therefore makes the data easier to find and the program (...) (21 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Some comments on the LPub 2.2.0.9 beta

(...) I haven't been able to keep up with this whole discussion, (sorry) but one thing struck me. Once upon a time we tried to put this sort of global config stuff in the generic ldraw.ini file instead an app specific file like mlcad.ini. Here's an (...) (21 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: 7 Vignettes, some even starring Joe Vig

Wow. That's an awful lot of vignettes. Must have been a busy (or rather not so busy) weekend for you. I like the UFO one, and the roller coaster one looks like it has potential. I can't tell for sure from the picture you posted though. Steve (21 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

Re: New MOC: Prototype Class 14 Diesel Loco with BBB Wheels

(...) I found that at low power levels of RCX drive, a technic motor in parallel actually caused the train motor to speed up - the technic motor must provide some filtering of the PWM. I already have other engines using gearmotors, so I used similar (...) (21 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Thanks for entering Luis! I have put a thumbnail link of your poster together with Stephen and Jacob's on the competition page.   Re: Some comments on the LPub 2.2.0.9 beta

(...) I am currently working on an MPD file that uses all the layout meta-commands, this was recommended by a wise (and probably frustrated) LPub user. I'm about 85% done fixing the bugs this process uncovers. There are so many other issues I have (...) (21 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Some comments on the LPub 2.2.0.9 beta

(...) Before we start, lets talk a bit about where I'm going with LPub. When I release the next LPub, it will also be going open source, as promised. LPub would be better suited to a larger develoment team. Through these conversations, you have (...) (21 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

(...) <snip> Andy, The issue with previous parts color scaling has to do with these two consecutive lines in your LDR file: STEP ROTSTEP ROTSTEP is a variant of STEP, and therefore you have redundant steps. Following the ROTSTEP, there are more (...) (21 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

7 Vignettes, some even starring Joe Vig

I just had to try building vignettes. And I must say, it is a lot of fun. Abduction: A gentle stroll through the city, and suddenly E.T. invites you to coffee, or whatever they drink.   March 26th 2005 SMART Meeting Notes
