  3 Mocs and Goodbye

If you haven't been following (URL) and (URL) CSF>, then here's my big news: I'm leaving. Two years I'll be away from home in the fabulously dusty and tornadoey state of Oklahoma working as a missionary for my church. You can read more about this (...)   Re: Thats no moon!!!

(...) According to the Dorling Kindersley books 'Star Wars Incredible Cross-sections' and 'Inside the Worlds of Star Wars', the first and second Death Stars are 160 km and 900 km in diameter respectively. See also the Star Wars Technical (...) (21 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Radial Engine (and V8 crankshaft)

(...) So far it looks like the only way to make a Lego radial engine is to make 2 rows (or loops) of cylinders. Has anyone ever been able to do it with just one row? (6 cylinders) Nathan Bell (...) (21 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Herakles: A Endoskeleton type thingie

(...) Solid, as always. Love the use of the Toa Metru head piece as just... a head. Very menacing. Hope it's not in any contest I'm part of, or I just lost! Great use of the Pakari as chest pieces, too. Are those silver? Hard to tell with the (...) (21 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Why are slope bricks textured?

(...) Definitely so! The earlier slopes had a texture that resembled overlapping circles, while the later texture is more evenly distributed teeny-weeny bumps. I can always tell if it's an old slope piece because of the funky circle pattern. Dave (21 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.parts)

Re: Downtown Disney Lego Store is open

(...) Brian, Thanks for the info and the images! The store looks great, I'll have to check out the store this Saturday... Robin W GFLUG (21 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.loc.us.fl.orl)

Re: Joe versus the Volcano Vignette

Hey Terry, Welcome to vignette-ville! I especially like the lamp in the office, and the edging along the baseboards. The Joe vs. Volcano one is nice, but I think you need to re-take some of the photos as they are fairly blurry. I especially like (...) (21 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: One eyed, one horned, flyin' PPE...

Are you insane? You're totally out of your mind! Blasphemy! This isn't a lego MOC! These colors are not right. Whatever happened to yellow, red and blue? My eyes are burning and my head is spinning from such creativity and originality. Great work. (...) (21 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.org.us.sealug, FTX)

  Joe versus the Volcano Vignette

Hello Vignettes fans! I finally decided to take pictures of my first vignette, which was actually a test to see if I liked making these small wonders. (URL) It's been standing there next to my monitor for two months and all this time, I was saying (...) (21 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX) !!

RE: FLL not allowing NQC; Mindscript is allowed

As a robotics teacher and FLL coach who teaches kids from 7-15 all year 'round, I find ROBOLAB just great. And, while dating myself somewhat, I've programmed with BASIC, FORTRAN, PL/I, and a few other languages. And while I'm the sort that can (...) (21 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Herakles: A Endoskeleton type thingie

(...) Very nicely sculpted. What piece are the fingers made of? I never new that part existed, but now I've seen it I NEED to get some. By golly they'll be useful. Cheers, Allister (21 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: piece count

(...) Um Vineet, I asked about the piece count as well, and here is the (URL) reply> thanks to Larry. This is 3 weeks ago. Currently the biggest set is ISD at 3104, soon to be Death Star at 3441. But: the biggest Technic set so far (excluding (...) (21 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: What that displayed on my RCX2.0?

(...) This is just the datalog display. It indicates, in 25% increments, how full the datalog is. This indicator is totally harmless, and can be ignored. If you want to get rid of it just download and run the following program: task main() { (...) (21 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics)

Hallo LLL! Wenn's moderiert ist, gibt es hier eine neue alte Tanke zu sehen. (URL) natürlich voraussetzt, daß man überhaupt dieses Posting hier zufällig findet... Gruß Ben P.s.: ein Vorabbild für eventuelle Schnellsurfer: (URL) (21 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.loc.de)

Re: FLL not allowing NQC; Mindscript is allowed

(...) Just to clarify, your sample program is not really equivalent to the two NQC programs I posted. In my two samples I used two tasks and a global variable. Your sample would need to use a container and a task split to truly be equivalent. (...) (...) (21 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

  Re: No Lego Window System

(...) Hmm, that still wouldn't work. A 1x4 arch built under the peak of a roof would be way to heavy. Frank (21 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: No Lego Window System

(...) Oh sure, use logic against me. My one weakness! It's a pretty tight squeeze-- the corners might indeed stick out of the roof if left as a normal 1x6x2 arch... I guess I'd probably just fudge a little and bring the window down a bit or the roof (...) (21 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.general)
