And it's beautiful.  The interior looks much like a Gap or an Apple Store; far
more sophisticated and visually interesting than it had been, and much more
polished than anything else at Downtown Disney.

The "Pick a Brick" section has 40 columns x 6 rows of bins. (There are actually
eight rows, but the top two bins are just for display and you can't grab bricks
from them - besides, they're too high to reach.)  I was disappointed in the
selection, though.  In my photos of it, note that in the third row down, every
other bin has blue 2x4s.  There were lots of other duplicated bins, and not all
that great a selection of colors.  For example, orange only made a showing in
one single bin, in 2x4 bricks.

There's also a new "Build a Mini" section.  For $9.99, you can build three
minifigures from the bins of minifig parts; for each minifig you get to choose a
head, torso, legs, and one accessory (hat, sword, hair, etc.).

In the center of the store, a "Model Citizen" (Lego employee) was helping two
kids to assemble a Lego mural of a Disney castle for this year's anniversary
celebration.

Brian,

Thanks for the info and the images! The store looks great, I'll have to check
out the store this Saturday...
