  Re: Space casino Columbia

(...) Hi, Thanks for the comments. It's nice to hear constructive criticism. I think that you are right about some details like the above separating a good MOC from a masterpiece. Some of these I was aware of (if I'd been willing to put in the time, (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

  Looking for Brickshelf members

What is a good way to contact Brickshelf members? I like to digitize (ldraw/povray) other people's work, and sometimes that requires asking for more detailed pictures. I'm posting this here because I don't really know anyone in other newsgroups or (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

  Re: What if.....

(...) Did you see my most recent update to the part? I added 11 holes and opened the end. At first I opened the whole end. Then I thought well there is only 4 studs of usable space on the end any way. So I made a 4 stud opening. (URL) picture. Dave (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Jake, any news on the "locked" list?

(...) Yes, I'd also like to know which are the 52 colours that have come out of the consolidation process, so that I can sort discontinued colours separately. If possible Jake, please would you post a colour chart showing the 52 surviving colours (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.color, lugnet.lego)

  Re: Dragon by Sealug member

(...) Hey Bruce, Sorry I never really saw this post!!! I can shoot a bunch for you and I'll post them at Brickshelf. I am planning on dismantling this soon and replacing all the click joints with new ones, I used the ones strictly from the Super (...)   Re: Please critique my truss designs

(...) snip It looks good to me too. I've had good success with diagonals connected to the studs on the outsides of the beams. One example: (URL) I imagine that your design, with the diagonals "sandwiched" in their connection, might perform okay. (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Group MOC Study - Pirate Gunboat

(...) JP, I hadn't heard about the "Group MOC Study", but I think it's an excellent idea. I like your interpretation. Nice work on the landing gear and squezing the figs inside. I can't say I'm super keen on the bend in the front, but I don't really (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: CEO-Letter // The answer

  Re: Teknomeka Instructions

(...) Unbelievable! Your gundams really blew my socks off when I first started looking around Lugnet...I remember examining your joint tech for gundams 01 and 02, always wondering how everything fit together... Now I have the opportunity to see (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun

(...) <snip> These are very impressive mecha. I'm amazed at how quickly a newcomer can turn out some quality models. I look forward to seeing how your style evolves... Later, Chris (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Things that are hard to do with LDraw and building instructions

(...) I suppose you could use the mlcad GROUP meta-command to name your parts. Then perhaps you could invent a SUBSTITUTE meta-command to substitute one group for another? I don't know, it could work. Enjoy, Don (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: A not so deserted island

(...) Nice. I like the way he built up a larger island by combining baseplates and green and yellow plates. Also, that waterfall is nice. Much more texture than the usual "wall of blue" waterfalls. Frank (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: If I were a minifig...... ( bed & bath )

Very nice! But I dunno - you might need longer ceiling fan blades to circulate the air in that large of a room. :-) I'd love to be able to see this kind of thing in a Quicktime VR file. Wonder how hard that is... James Wilson Dallas, TX (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, FTX)

  Re: If I were a minifig...... ( bed & bath )

(...) ... (...) Wow, that's....cool. I love those. Don't be surprised if they show up in some house I build or something. ;-) (Nah, I'd never rip off someone else's work. I might borrow with permission, but I'd never rip off. That's just not nice.) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, FTX)

  Re: the top 15 colors

He built the shoreline and dock areas, modified them to fit Tony's water *and* even built the shorter legs. I contributed the ships mainly. My (...)
