Re: Comments wanted: Plans for easier parts authoring

(...) I just read this about the latest Blender release: "completely rewritten and upgraded mesh modeling" That looks promising. I'll definitely try it out! Stefan (replying to his own posts...) (21 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Comments wanted: Plans for easier parts authoring

(...) Indeed, thanks for reading! :) Blender is a good modeling and animation tool, but last time I checked I found the vertex and triangle tools unwieldy, so it was not very useful for detailed low-poly editing. I should check back on it, though, (...) (21 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: RIS 2.0 Problems

(...) Yes. I agree. (...) Yes - I agree with that too. The 'fixed set of functions' are the set of byte codes that the Lego firmware supports. How you put those together is a matter of what tools you use to design the robot. NQC does not somehow (...) (21 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Philippe's Forklift Building Instructions

(...) Hi Iain, I use the famous MLCAD / LPub (all links on ldraw website : (URL) to generate the pictures. Then I use Adobe PhotoShop (an old limited edition is sufficient) to create layout.   Re: RIS 2.0 Problems

I think that something might be overlooked here? To ensure that all contestants are playing on a level field, it is necessary to ensure they have the same elements for building their competition systems. To do this, it necessarily requires that (...) (21 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Thanks everyone for your comments and best wishes! It's great to introduce a new LEGO fan :-) (Henry is only a week old, and he probably doesn't realize yet that he's a die-hard fan of the brick). Ok, I'll try not to brainwash the kid. At (...) (21 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.people)

(...) I sat here shaking my head, that is so adorable. It looks so good! A bit of an off-topic question for you, what kind of software package did you use to generate those instructions? They look fantastic! Iain (21 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.town)

Wow, great stuff, Kenn. Very cool idea for ship and well-executed. But what I'm most fond of is your cast of characters.
