Re: Frank's first LEGO train set has been a 111

(...) Frank- I love that old picture! Is there a chance that you received a 111 and a 107? I haven't seen pictures of a Samsonite version of 115 yet (but I'm still looking). Samsonite 111 pic here: (URL) 107 pic here: (URL) - Thought you might be (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Inventory Liquidation

(...) Daily markdowns are too much of a drag on my time, so I did final markdowns today. (URL) US shipping over $20 Flat rate shipping of $2.00 for all US orders boxed weight under 11 ounces or $4.00 for all US orders boxed weight over 11 ounces. (...)   Re: Snotcycle - spacecraft built on a one-piece motorcycle

(...) Kevin, Welcome back out of the dark ages! This reminds me somewhat of a GoldWing or Pacific Coast, in motorcycle terms. Making odd wide vehicles is hard, it's tough to get the symmetry right. It does look a little clunky and square though, (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.town)

  Re: Kalate OmniDroid

(...) Thanks. This was planned and a necessity. I wanted to get a start with Mechs but I figured that a humanoid would be too challenging for the first build so I tried to go in a new direction. I too think that this shape leads to a lot of (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) That is a good way of putting the bionicle parts --- easy. (...) You guys and your 'dead weight'! :) (...) Thanks. It was a fun build. I have been surprised that by taking two average, ungreebled Mechs and combining then with an (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Longitudinal-latitudinal coordinates calulator?

(...) Yeah, I know, I'm not Kevin. But he's working on lsynth now, so it'd be nice if he stuck with it. (...) Ok, I see your point about java, but how about javascript? (URL) you need is a browser, and if you want it stand-alone you just need to do (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Frank's first LEGO train set has been a 111

(...) It had a 4.5V motor, so it sounds definitely like the 115. Yea, looking at your page, I'm now certain it's set 115. (...) Yes, that would be a much younger Frank Filz than this one: (URL) by my little sister's walking, I would guess this is (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: My first fully functioning GBC...

(...) Thoughts: -rtl20. Go to a "virtualised" playfeild. As far as I know, we use the big plywood playfeilds to give us walls, right? So we can use touch sensors. Since everyone (?) has two light sensors, what about doing a trial run sometime where (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Frank's first LEGO train set has been a 111

(...) Dear Frank, from the dominatiog colour blue and the box design one can assume this to be a 111 set. And there is a less than 5% chance that this could be a 115 (which is basically the same but came with the 4.5V motor included). Th box design (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: My first fully functioning GBC...

(...) Well, I also know of a place where we can find a somewhat smaller playfield that is already painted and (mostly) perfectly flat. ;) I'd rather have the big one, though. Fron what I saw, it was a little more than the edges, but I'll make a (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Lego Electronic Lab Kit

(...) After thinking about it a bit more, I'm not sure exactly *why* it is so cool... it seems like you could make the same circuits, with a lot less work, just using a prototyping breadboard. But nonetheless, somehow the fact that it's made out of (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: My first fully functioning GBC...

(...) If the damage is isolated to the edges of the plywood, then consider cutting it down. I think a somewhat smaller playfield is better then a warped and ruff one. Derek (21 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Detroit's Fisher Building in minifig scale.

(...) I have to come see this. I live in Northville, and though I don't have anything built for such a layout, I must see this in person. It's absolutely gorgeous. My father worked in the Fisher building way back when, so I have a lot of fond (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: My first fully functioning GBC...

(...) If the weather is clear, I'm going to open it up on my driveway this weekend and examine it. The issue is it will still be below 0 so painting outside is out of the question. Painting inside will incur fumes and such in the abode, but I'll see (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: My first fully functioning GBC...

(...) The tube is wider than the balls so the balls are sitting in a zig-zag fashion all the way up--one ball that is high enough to fall out won't 'cause it's resting against the opposite wall. Then it gets pushed up and the second ball that's (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
