  Re: Kalate OmniDroid

Yo, Brian, the OmniDroid is easily the best of the bunch as far as the mechs go, but you've proven something much much more important. THE SCENE ROCKS! A few creations, in even a smallish setting make for an awesome creation overall. This is a (...) (21 years ago, 14-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Lift Systems

One more thing - the RCX is good for only low-power applications. Never use it for heavy lifting. In the new version, instead of that tangle of wires you can see on the photo page, we have the RCX directly controlling them, and an IR remote. The (...) (21 years ago, 14-Feb-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Lift Systems

Well, my S.O. robot won the first invitational in Ohio, so here's my advice to you that can be applied to just about every aspect of Robot Ramble design *except* for the drive system: NO LEGOS for anything that requires stability. -snippity- Brian, The mechs themselves seem a bit on the skinny side. A bit too colorful and thin-limbed to be convincing warmechs.
