  Are ABS bricks so good...?

I was a bit shocked last night. You know how the plates are just thick enough that they can be held between the studs on normal bricks if you try inserting them sideways in... I seem to recall some of the cars in the 70s actually had 1x1 and 1x2 (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.general)

  (no subject)

Hi - We are building a submersible robot. For maintaning the depth we need a ballast system, we are planning to use a canister of compressed air with some electronnically controlled valves. In addition we are planning to use a depth sensor, Pressure (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: pneumatics & mindstorms?

(...) Another nice thing about pneumatics is that you can put the heavy compressor anywhere you want, and just run a couple of hoses off to the actual piston. This is useful at the business end of a robot arm, for example, where you want a powerful (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)

One consequence of this is that we will need to remove Suzanne's name temporarily from certain web pages (for example, the AucZILLA and LUGNET homepages) as part of a verbal agreement with Suzanne's advisors at the Lab about "mindshare" and (...)   Re: Lego Space System

(...) Actually, any colors properly matched can be good. Black and purple is good though you need a third color which would be used much less frequently.   Lego Space System

Is there anyone out there who thinks black and purple (w/silver) would make good colors for a LegoSystem Space group? (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: what are the rules about hoses etc?

  Re: Mechanical question

It makes for more. Don't ask me why, it just does. It kind of reminds me of a great old banjo player i know.   Re: legOS and Markus in Forbes

(...) That's kind of only a tiny mention. I meant that it didn't really talk about it in-depth. That's what's so cool about the new article, IMHO -- it's a first step toward a larger awareness. --Todd (25 years ago, 27-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos, lugnet.robotics)
