Re: Space Wheels Contest - Winners

Congratulations Kalman, Kyle, Jamie and Tim. It was a great contest with many cool entries. Thanks Allister and Gil for hosting the contest. It was a great way to light a fire under my space building at least. Peace and building more, Professor (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Video Clips

(...) I've got Win2K, did the right click and "save as", and it worked just fine. Hm...have you tried a divx player? I've used that before when a video wouldn't work--and the divx player played it just fine. -Scott Lyttle (21 years ago, 6-Jan-05, to lugnet.lego)

Re: Space Wheels Contest - Winners

Thankfully there were multiple categories, or we woulda all got pwned by the Mobile Party Palace. I'd like to say thanks to Allister and Gil for running the contest, and to all the builders for the tasty wheeled MOC goodness! (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Military Hover Contest Winners!

Re: teen FOLs: do we actually exist?

(...) Hi everyone, I couldn't agree with this more. Probably the only reason this happens is because the mind of a 6th grader if far more sensitive to peer pressure and teasing in general than a teen. Getting older as a person, a teen becomes more (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.people.teens, FTX)

  Re: Robolab Documentation

The replacement firmware has several modes for displaying the clock. HH.MM, MM.SS and M.SS.S. The first format is the Lego standard whcih I find failry uninformative. The clock is reset to zero whenever RCX is powered up although many IDE's reset it (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

Re: Happy Christmas! from The Brick Testament

Hey Brendan, Congratulations on both books. That's really cool. Why oh why did I have to do my huge project on something with active copyrights? :) On to the revised Christmas story (sorrry again about the delay): Okay, it took a bit of digging, but (...)   Re: NQC 1.0 compatibility mode

Re: valuing lego for insurance purposes

Frances in Tassie has her Lego insured as a separate collection. Better to do it this way rather than through the general household insurance. I believe (though I'm happy to be corrected) that she used Bricklink prices as evidence of the value of (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: LEGO new crane: a step in the right direction?

(...) Hi Vineet, There are no hoses in the retract holes of either piston. It seems LEGO decided to just use gravity to retract them, if you have used pressure to lower the boom on [LEGOSet 8460] you'll realise this is probably a reasonable thing to (...)   Re: LEGO new crane: a step in the right direction?

One problem I see with this crane pic is that one of the inlets on the pneumatic pistons doesn't have a tube in it. If someone could explain how this crane arm is supposed to be lifted, I'd really like to hear it. Thanks. (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)
