  FS: Lego 8480 Space Shuttle

I have several 8480 Space Shuttles for sale at $180.00. This price includes shipping within the continental United States. (Local pick-up is available in Sacramento, CA) All are new in sealed boxes. Boxes only have slight shelf wear on them. Payment (...) (21 years ago, 31-Dec-04, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, FTX)

  Re: balancing bot

I recently implemented a new motor control "source" specifically targeted at PID algorithms in the new firmware. It takes a signed number in the range -128 to +128 and converts it into a motor control command. -128 to -1 is reverse direction and (...) (21 years ago, 31-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics)

  Happy New Year.

Happy New Year all! Un Bonne & Heureuse Annee! Ein gesundes rutsch ins Neues Jahr! (Hoffentlich wird 2005 ein besseres Jahr wie 2004). I know that 2004 has brought about a lot of differences among AFOL's. Let's just agree to disagree, and try not to (...) (21 years ago, 31-Dec-04, to lugnet.general) !

Re: A Community Problem (Was: Re: 10152 Update)

(...) Yes, LEGO said that. But some people are confusing a "statement of fact" with a "promise". They are different. You are of course welcome to continue to fervently believe LEGO lied to you, and to continue to believe that all statements by the (...) (21 years ago, 31-Dec-04, to lugnet.lego)

Re: How do I power a long track?

(...) Ah hah! Yes, thats a problem I've been modifying the LUCNY controllers. New bridge recitifier diodes (5A). Bigger reservoir cap (25,000uF) and a better chip (LTC1084 or LTC1085). This is pin and function compatible with the chip in there but (...) (21 years ago, 31-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains)

(...) SNIP (...) SNIP (...) A debate is an exchange of FACTS in order to prusuade the other party to your point of view. The facts that you seem to be dissapointed that I stick to are Lego said this was the "last chance" to buy Maersk blue and there (...) (21 years ago, 31-Dec-04, to lugnet.lego)

  Re: MPD Wizard 1.0b

(...) Yeah I though about that after the fact. I probably would have GPL'd the source anyway. -Orion (21 years ago, 31-Dec-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: How do I power a long track?

(...) Hello, It's look like you were using a few motor on that outer loop. With a single Lego regulator which can supply about 1A (1000mA) you can run 2-3 motors. Each motor use about 300~350mA under normal load. If you run heavy train they need (...) (21 years ago, 31-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: MPD Wizard 1.0b

(...) I hesitate to even mention it, but I thought it was only fair. Thanks for GPL'ing MPD Wizard, but if you are the original author of the LDDP code, I'm 99% sure you didn't have to do so. Even after you release something under GPL, you still own (...) (21 years ago, 30-Dec-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Explorovore

I am deeply disturbed. The entire scenario is quite grotesque. I love the whole thing! .Space needed some natural inhabitants, stands to reason it should be something large and carnivorous. I applaud a very successful effort, and hope we can see (...) (21 years ago, 31-Dec-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: How do I power a long track?

(...) What about amperage? We had a problem at our current train show at the Palo Alto museum where the outer loop was performing very badly. We tried adding new connectors but to no avail. Turned out we were using an underpowered power supply - we (...) (21 years ago, 31-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains)

Re: My First Train MOC - Red Boxcar

I think it looks real nice! I was wondering how it might look if the spacing was 4 studs between the ribs and 1x4 tiles horizontally placed. Hmmm... SteveB PS with a fist MOC like that, maybe I ought to wait 24 years! :) (IOW Cool MOC, congrats!) (...) (21 years ago, 31-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: balancing bot

this looks similar to the logic I got working. I tweaked the parameters (equiv. to a,b,c in your code) and it's much more stable now. Interestingly, I have to set 'b' very high, about 2X of what 'a' is set to -- most code I've seen is just the (...) (21 years ago, 31-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics)
