(...) We need trans-brown, so this poor guy can get a Manhattan. The skinny tie and chin pubes just nail it - great work! Marc Nelson Jr. (21 years ago, 25-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: What makes Technic Technic?

(...) There are two factors at work here... Sets up to 2001, used the Technic moniker more liberally than after 2001. The moniker was 'retired' for the most part (with a few high end exceptions). Had it not been for this change in labeling, 8012 (...) (21 years ago, 25-Dec-04, to lugnet.technic)

  What makes Technic Technic?

Numerous sets, especially Star Wars, contain Technic parts without being labeled Technic. Could someone kindly explain what makes a Technic set Technic? For example, the 8008 Star Wars Stormtrooper is labeled Technic, while the 8012 Super Battle (...) (21 years ago, 25-Dec-04, to lugnet.technic)

Re: How do I power a long track?

(...) I agree with the advice John gave, although not completely with the "why"... the drop in voltage is, in my view, due to the resistance at each track sections abutment with the next. (...) It is in your posting setup rather than you profile, (...) (21 years ago, 25-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains)

Re: How do I power a long track?

(...) Hi ! This is a problem we encounter all the time. The solution is quite simple - add extra power connectors at selected locations around the track. Use the long Lego wires (hard to get) or make your own - cut a shorter wire and splice in some (...) (21 years ago, 25-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains)

How do I power a long track?

Hello everybody, I have a train track that runs around the perimeter of my son’s bedroom on a platform that extends out from the wall. The problem is that the train seems to really slow down around the opposite end of the track from where the power (...) (21 years ago, 25-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Coming to Kalamazoo

Today I stopped by Fanfare to ask about meeting there for a couple of hours on Monday, Dec 27th. Looks like it should be OK but I need to hear back from the main guy there. If it is not OK, then "Plan B" will be just meeting at a restaurant, maybe (...) (21 years ago, 24-Dec-04, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, FTX)

  Re: 2005 Castle sets

  Re: .space Timeline

(...) This post has me confused. I think it's because I'm the bunny-guy, not Lenny. Why the bunnies aren't on the subtheme guide yet is simple: I run the subtheme guide, and am ever-so-modest and wouldn't dream of adding my own subtheme so soon. (...)
